Re: What were your favorite comic books as a kid?
The only two I read consistently were Spiderman and one called "The Man Called Nova".

They've tried to bring Nova back a couple of times, but it was never as good.

Re: Phillies Announcer Harry Kalas has passed away
I like the story that Larry Anderson told last night. L.A. was a player, not an announcer and really didn't know what he was doing and so Harry took him under his wing and mentored him. But L.A. was awful. Harry would coach him and because Harry could never bring himself to say anything bad about an...

Re: RIP Mark "The Bird" Fidrych
You know, I really liked him when I was a kid. I don't know why. We were about as far away from Detroit as you could get and I rarely saw him pitch. I guess it was just the wild antics I saw on Monday Night Baseball but I can still picture his baseball card like it was right in front of me, with the...

This is just awful. I truly feel like I've lost a member of my family.
I can just see Whitey and Tug and Vuke waiting for him and welcoming him.
Thanks, Harry. You were the best.

Re: The reason for the season....
I think we certainly should be grateful to those who have helped us and made our lives better, but Jesus didn't die merely to make our lives better or to help us, He died because we were under the condemnation of the wrath of God because of our sins. He was the sacrificial Passover Lamb who was slau...

Just found a mint cond copy of Jo Jo Gunne's one and only album (on original vinyl, no less!). I converted it to a file and am now wearing it out.
Ah, Jo Jo Gunne. Those were the days.

Great versons, both, but if you can find it, try the version by "The Wild Jimbos" (a side project of a couple of members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band).ragtopW wrote:Let's talk dirty in Hawaiian.. John Prine or Jim Morris

Re: Do you say?
Cabinets and cupboards are two different things so when I'm talking about the "cabinet", I say cabinet and when I'm talking about the "cupboard", I say cupboard.
