Anybody been to Mexico lately (more specifically Cabo)?

We were thinking of going in June to Cabo (where we foolishly bought a time share) but I keep hearing it's not a good idea to go to Mexico right now.

We saw Rod Stewart once and he forgot the words to Young Turks. He tried 3 times before finally getting a copy of the words from one of the crew. He handled it with good nature and it was actually pretty funny.
