Of course, many of these same conservatives haven't been supporters of John McCain either (which begs the question: just how much more right wing would John McCain have to be to get the support of the nation's conservatives?). I don't care if John McCain comes out and starts reading old Reagan spee...

I got one. I threw it away. Just looking at it made me think it was more about hate-mongering than anything else.

I do not see her backing out with under 35 days to go in the election. Has something like this even happened before. Where you except the parties nomination and then say, "on second thought-I'll pass" If McCain had convinced Colin Powell to come out of retirement and join this ticket. The...

We were satisfied with The Island Winds condos. http://www.brett-robinson.com/rental_iw.html They were right off 59 on the beach. There were restaurants and bars within walking distance, not a lot, but a few. And, of course, souvenir shops. IT was pretty easy to get to where you wanted from there. O...

You know, more so than any political discussion, I honestly expected I would get more grief from my choice to have "the lads" ordering Löwenbräu to celebrate their album being #1 in Germany. From that know-it-all-wannabe site Wikipedia ..... Löwenbräu (German, pronounced [løːvənbrɔʏ̯]) is...

I ended up buying a Seiko watch at Costco. Decent price, fairly confident that it's not a fake and she can take it back if it's not what she wants.

I don't think they do the sizing, so that still has to be dealt with.

McCain is probably just trying to get out of the first debate.

If he really cared about the country he would have left Palin in Alaska, as far from the Presidency as possible.

Why I have trouble with this stuff - part II. So, I checked one of the sites recommended above and found a watch I like for $355. First they want to know the size. Size? Watches have sizes? I'm lucky I know her t-shirt size. That's one problem with buying a watch on-line. Brick and mortar jewelers ...

In the words of Admiral Ackbar: "It's a trap!" Whenever your wife gives you a very vague gift idea, be very careful, she's testing you. Your best bet is to take her to the store and let her pick it out herself, or just give her flowers. :) For my wife, "a new watch" is very spec...

Buying Ladies Watches....Help!

My dear wife mentioned that she'd like a new watch for her birthday. I have no idea what brands to buy or even where to get a reasonable deal. I was thinking about spending around $300. I know I could go to a jeweler, but I always feel like I'm overpaying there. Does anybody know what kind of markup...

Michigan State Basketball: Tom Izzo, Jud Heathcote, Magic Johnson and Mateen Cleaves.

For any college program, I think you have to have at least one coach. They're the long term face of the program. The players are just there for a short period of time.

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, this seems ignore all the history before 1953 (when Banks joined the team). It ignores all the history where the Cubs actually won something.

That being said...Go Cubs!

No question - Ron Santo. Ron Santo was the best all-around third baseman of the 1960's, when baseball was a pitcher’s game. He was a great hitter during this pitching-friendly era. He smashed 342 home runs and drove in 1,331 runs during his career. Santo's 162 game averages were very impressive, and...

Still, he is vetted and already respected on the world stage. He was not a shock selection out of the blue, and the world knew who he was and what he stood for ...at least one month ago . Which in some cases is not what he stood for 6 months ago. And then there is John McCain who wouldn't no...

If she wasn't Sarah Palin, would we even be asking if her interview was "fair." If it was Lieberman or Romney or Ridge, we wouldn't be asking those questions. We wouldn't even be asking them if it was Hillary. So true. You missed the point completely, it's because Palin is a lightweight. ...
