I've been to the orlando M'ville and I have to say your visit must have been a fluke. I had the best service and one of the best Margaritas i've had. Ditto here. On the night we went, we had a two hour wait to get a table, but food/drink/service was great. Actual quote from my kids (7 and 9 yrs. ol...

Nobody "outed" Valerie Plame. At worst, her name was inadvertently given to Novak. Being a journalist, he actually engaged in fact-checking, and wasn't lied to by the administration. ..and there's the rub. You just contradicted your own claim. You can call it "inadvertant" or &q...

Re: Novak: Rove outed CIA agent...

Conservative columnist Robert Novak has replied to claims by the Rove camp that Rove had no involvement in the Valerie Plame confidential disclosure case, ...and he doesn't agree with their claims. Insider treason isn't that high on the Bush administration's concern list these days I guess.....

aghast... that someone could use a movie based on a novel or other work of fiction as the basis for a public policy debate and expect to be taken seriously. Better rethink that little statement, friend. Ann Rynd's novel, "Atlas Shrugged," has caused/informed/enlightened many debates on pu...

I think Novak is speaking out now in an attempt to repair his journalistic reputation and to preserve the illusion of having some journalistic integrity, having spent the last couple of years being a mouthpiece for the Bush administration . Consider this from the same article . . . By PETE YOST, As...

If we win the war on terror, I wouldn't be surprised to see George W. receiving similar accolades about fifty years from now. (Now donning my flame-proof suit.) You be a brave man! 8) While anything is possible, I personally think that in 50 years time Dubya will be remembered right up there...

I dare any of his right wing flunkies to justify this. One more notch in the holster for this clown going down as one of the worst Presidents in history. Right wing flunkie reporting for duty... :D First thing... when you kill an embryo, you've killed an unborn child. Second... Bush came out...

check out the emovies archive.

Great link.

Check out the emovies archive, especially the Prelinger archive.

Very cool stuff. 1950s General Motors films, 1936 Soap Box Derby, Boys Scouts visit Disneyland circa 1963.

Had no idea this kind of thing was available. Thanks for sharing. :D

wish I was a pirate on the caribbean

Looking for a little help. Just had RM on, and heard a song with the lyrics "wish I was a pirate on the caribbean" along with various references to Jimmy, boat drinks, and havana daydreamin'. Anybody know the artist or song title? BTW... I DO wish I was a pirate on the caribbean. :pirate:

Is it wrong that I LOVE the smell of a chainsaw ripping into a piece of wood? 8) No, no, there's no reason to feel guilty. The smell of chainsaw on wood is actually scientifically similar to the smells of gasoline, tire smoke, BBQ, the inside of new cars, good cigars, fresh paint, freshly cut grass...

No, but Missouri (except for St. Louis and Kansas City) is deep in red-state territory. I suppose you could say we're Texas-Lite.

We're not sure how the metro areas went so wrong... perhaps a lack of chainsaws and gunracks. :pirate:

Re: Nothing like a chainsaw

This is of no real importance, but thought I'd share. We had a big storm a few nights ago. I work in an office all day, but this morning, volunteered to go out and help the company clean up the storm debris. Brought both my chainsaws (yes, I own two) that I haven't used in over a year. Felt great. ...

I'm not trying to pull a Clinton (or a sam) and say I didn't say that, but how are we proposing to regulate it now? Is there a time limit (as in, If you've lived in the country "x" number of years, you won't be caught and shuttled back to the other side)? It doesn't matter how big a wall ...
