While it's true any comments are speculation, you don't get to the position he's in without being driven to succeed. I'm sure some peoples' toes have been stepped on over the years, but one man's drive is another man's egomania. And if it were me paying the bills you can be damn sure I'd be control...

Anybody else run a discussion forum?

A few days ago, I started my very own little discussion board (work-related, not Buffett.) I've notified some people in the business about it, and have gotten some positive responses, but there's not much traffic on the board yet. Anyone have experience with such a project? Did it take a while to ca...

Re: Whatever happened to the BN concert idea?

Maybe I just really missed something, but wasn't there a big plan being discussed about this time last year to see about hiring Buffett to play a BN'er only show? Whatever happened to this idea? I hope that this is still alive and well, but I have not seen anything on it in months. Seemed like ever...

Those are ALL good choices, and I think any one of them would be just as good as the other. Last year in Hawaii I was HOPING he'd finish with "Back To the Islands." It would've been perfect. But he and Henry Kapono closed with "Duke's On Sunday," and that definately gave everyon...

two thoughts

Hmmm.... after reading that, two things immediately came to mind.

1. Bet he doesn't get out much.

2. If/when he ever gets married, he better never forget her birthday/anniversary/whatever. He will never, ever, ever be able to come up with an excuse that will fly.

200 Years too Late?

Just curious if anybody else thinks they might have been better suited to another time...

For me, the present's pretty good, although think I'd have done ok in the 1950s, too.

Couldn't go too much farther back due to my love affair with the internal combustion engine. 8)

I know absolutely nothing about them, but a company has asked me to interview with them. I would be in charge of selling the equipment to regional busine...
