The Kansas City Royals have a chance of getting into the playoffs. :D :D :D

It is a happy time in my house. Until it's not. :-?

That is all.

Re: . Clueless in Technoville .

Okay.... few thoughts that might help. First... to make this work, you pretty much have to have a newer TV with an HDMI port. Looks like this. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z166/krusin1/Android-HDMI-TV-port_zps1ea60f8c.jpg Next... you can watch YouTube videos and most stuff that your web-brows...

Re: Coral Reefer E-Cigs & Paraphernalia?

Okay.... call me an eternal optimist, but... When I heard about Jimmy trying to trademark "Coral Reefer" I didn't think it necessarily meant he was going to produce e-cigs and such. My guess was he simply needed to get control of that phrase/title before somebody else DID take it to produc...

Thanks Jimmy, for trying the drive-in thing :-)

On this board, we've been discussing the highs/lows and good/bad of our drive-in experience last night , but I just wanted to take a moment and share a thought.... My thanks to Jimmy Buffett for giving the drive-in thing a try. It's an interesting experiment, I enjoyed the evening, I think the idea ...

Re: Jimmy to play the Coyote Drive-in, Fort Worth

We were at the Skyview drive-in in Belleville, IL for the show. They had problems with the sound, as well. It's an FM broadcast situation and for whatever reason, their signal was weak and/or static-filled. A couple of cars DID manage to get an okay signal and were kind enough to turn up their (subs...

1970 Buick Skylark. 350 motor and an automatic transmission. Looked a lot like this one. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z166/krusin1/MVC-001F-1_zps27599a48.jpg I left it with my brother when I went to college and he slid it into a 7 ft. ditch in an ice storm. Still wish I had it back. Re: The Sochi Olympics thread

Not to be a huge downer, but.... I'm pretty worried about this Olympics. Lots of potential for crazy bad stuff to happen. Remote location, plenty of bad guys that would love to wreak havoc, screwed up housing, iffy mountain/snow/etc.

Prayers for all who will be there.....

Re: Vaping

On a related note... Never been a "smoker" per se, but have enjoyed good cigars occasionally. Problem has always been that you just can't smoke 'em in the house, and all winter it's just tooooooo cold to hang around outside for the time it takes to enjoy a good cigar. On a whim, I tried an...

Re: New Year's Eve - Things to do at the party?

Well? How was it? LOL. Y'all are awesome. Party went great. We did the South of the Border thing. Food was great (and the friends all brought way too much.) The punch we made (lots of citrus, white wine, champagne, 7 up) was GONE. The other big hits were cinnamon tequila, and a coffee-flavore...

Re: New Year's Eve - Things to do at the party?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I'd probably go with the Key West/JB theme stuff, but not all those coming would actually "get it." :-? I think we've settled on "South of the Border" type stuff. Tortilla bowls, fajitas and fixings, margarita punch, some cinnamon tequila (...

New Year's Eve - Things to do at the party?

For a few years now, we've hosted a NYE party for a group of friends/families (about 20-25 people total). They must think it's an okay time, because they keep coming back. But... We always seem to struggle with planning what to actually DO at the party. There's plenty of food/drink and always a game...

Re: The Affordable Care Act and YOU

So now you've got many of the same Republicans who insisted last year that their boy Mittens could do no wrong who are willing to shut down the government, default on the government's debts, and trash the reputation of this country if they don't get their way.  This past weekend Jim Wright, who wri...
