No school the next day, so I will be here for this one. Lets just hope there is a good connection and no plugs get pulled.

Some songs I would like to hear:

I was just looking on eBay, and one seller who was selling quite a few albums was kind enough to take pictures of the backs. The ones I haven’t seen before were A-1-A, Coconut Telegraph, You Had to Be There, and Riddles In The Sand (yeah, that cowboy hat is scary on the back just as it is on the fro...

That’s pretty bad. I bet you were quite relived when you woke up. I had a dream with Jimmy in it not to long ago. I was at a beach sitting in a fold out chair relaxing and Jimmy was there doing the same right in front of me! I have had many weird dreams that make absoulty no sense, but this one with...

Actually, I have a computer in my room that is off line and I use the Windows Media Player copy form CD feature. All the tracks from MMIM are on there, but it still bothers me that the original is damaged. I took the CDs out of the original case and put them into a 2 Disc jewel case from a computer ...

Scans of Album Artwork

Does anyone know a place on the net that has flat scans of the packaging that the original JB records came in? We all know what MCA did with the CDs, and I am curious to see what the artwork that is missing from the CDs looks like.

A Terrible Tale about MMIM

Back in July, I mentioned to my mom that there was a new Jimmy Buffett greatest hits collection out. Everyone in my family enjoys Jimmy’s music, so my mom went out the next day and picked up MMIM. I unwrapped it to check out the booklet before I gave it a listen. After I checked out the booklet, I t...

Doing a better job on the printed material is not the only thing that comes with CD reissues. Remastering is also commonly done to make old recordings sound like they were recorded recently. Examples of remastered JB songs can be heard on MMIM. Second, adding bonus tracks. Demos, alternate takes, cu...

West Coast Live CDs

This is my first time in this thread, and it appears that it has gone a bit off topic. I really don’t feel like talking about copyright laws, so I am not going to post anything about them. Back to the topic, I’m really glad that these shows are going to be on CD. 6 entire shows on (2 Disc) CDs is a ...

The problem is, his catalog still sells. That's like found money to a record company. Remasters usually come when someone's catalog has really started to drop and needs a "shot in the arm" to renew interest. Having said that, MMIM may prove to be a catalog killer and certainly showed that...

Hello fellow parrotheads! I’m a newbie and this is my first post. My dad has been buying Jimmy’s CDs since Songs You Know by Heart and has them all from that point with the exception of Hot Water and the boxed set. I listen almost every time he plays them and have enjoyed every song. Just recently I...
