When the Coast is Clear is a seriously good Buffett/McAnally song that would have been perfect as the albums finale, as it would have been without Dis Bidness. Perhaps Floridays would have been better off as a 9 track album.

Nope, I'm with you there. Such a great song that really cries out for radio play and should have represented the album of the same name on MMIM rather than Creola (which is also a good song, but not as good IMO).

My dad has a Technics turntable that's only a year old that cost about $350. Lightning hit our house early last year and killed turntable my dad had since the 70s, so we got insurance to pay for the new one. Anyway, it gets a really good sound out of records and sounds like your listening to ...

Sorry guys, my future wife hoped in a DeLorean and made an attempt to nip the “problem” in the bud.

Why did I invent that time machine in the future?

Sometimes you really wounder about people who rip songs for those services. Here are some examples I’ve seen: Jimmy Buffett – Mother Ocean  Beach Boys – Aruba, Bahama  Then there are those where people don’t know what artist it is so they guess. I hate that, because it gets you all excit...

PM- Does the CILCIA album that you bought have the short accoustic version of CILCIA after Landfall? I bought a copy of it a couple of years ago and was shocked to find it on there. Nope, that's on the MCA repressing, which doesen't have a gatefold or custom inner sleeve. Come to think of it, I thi...

Vinyl Record Collecting

Went to a record store in Tampa today called Sound Exchange. Great place for record collecting. Here’s what I’ve got: Jimmy Buffett – A-1-A (first pressing, gatefold) Jimmy Buffett – Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes (first pressing, gatefold, custom inner sleeve) Jimmy Buffett – You Had To...

Yes, I think we all want this, but it seems Mailboat is just obsessed with the 2003 Tiki Time Tour and wants to milk the heck out of those 5/6 shows. As for albums of this years or last years tour, well, they might keep promising us them and giving us fake release dates before the product is even in...

Here are some notes I got from cobo: Two rare versions of this album are rumored to exist. One contains the songs "Please Take Your Drunken 15 Year Old Girlfriend Home," and "Train to Dixieland," and the other version contains the song "We've Been Taken to the Cleaners (and ...

The majority of live albums on CD by any artist will have the tracks begin at the start of the song, not the intro, unless there is something really, really significant in the dialogue (like Elton John introducing John Lennon at the Thanksgiving 1974 concert). This is done so listeners eager to hear...

Law & Order

Any Law & Order viewers here? Which of the four series do you prefer? I would have to go with SVU. To me it’s a marriage between the original and Homicide: Life on the Street, as it mixes the styles of both shows and took a character from each. It’s the most unique and intense out of the four IM...

I can recall being about 3 or 4 years old and remember Volcano (from SYKBH) playing in my family room, and I remember dancing to it. Yes, like most, my family and I begun with SYKBH, and those 13 are the earliest Buffett I can recall. After that we bought everything he came out with, starting with F...
