If you are burned out on buffett then you have only yourself to blame. i can't get burned out on buffett, because all i have to do is put on a classic like cuban crime of passion and no matter how burned out i feel, the magic just comes right back to me. if you are a real parrothead like i am and d...

Outpost Tour - 1991, on Father's Day. The last time he played in both Concord and Shoreline in one tour, it was during the day, we had great seats in the 10th row and because it was light out, he could see us too! At one point, I was walking to the bathroom and he waved to me (yeah, I know, he proba...

I am sure you are right about his mom and Jerry being gone, but it was interesting he didn't mention his dad. I guess Peets was just so recent for him. I thought that a great charity (Habitat for Humanity for example) could sell out the Warfield as a benefit and we could have a great, up close and p...

I think that the Corona had memory cell killer in it, cause I can't remember some of it also.... I also don't remember him talking about his MOM, but friends told me he did mention her and someone else... but, I can't even remember who that was.... or who told me. What I remember is a comment in th...

Yeah, it can get old having to stand during the whole show, but you also lose the crowd/party feeling up in the stands. I just really admired the guy in the beige shirt - he was having a great time and it showed! :)

well...the question should be asked... how many times can you say hoom baba hoom baba hoom baba hey hey in one tour? Thank you! I don't think there are many bad Buffett songs, but that's not a favorite in my book. Great show, the Dead song was great and a personal favorite. Sorry he didn't do Saxap...

Yeah, I was in 101 and felt the pressure to sit for some of the show. Were you the guy in row 5 or 6 with the beige hawaiian shirt? Great show, great seats, would have rather been on the floor with all the action.

Yes, I would assume that he will do the same tour - like I said, just getting excited!

Any guesses? Speculations? Knowledge?? of the set list tonight?? Just getting anxious, I guess - I keep checking to make sure it's really going to happen!

No one mentioned Desdamona's Building A Rocket Ship - I can't ever get that out of my head, until I sing something else, like Fins (and people do stare at you when you do this in public!)

Staying on base isn't that bad anyway. Just watch the drinking - they do take seriously (not that they shouldn't!) and aren't very tolerant for the most part (at least that's true with the Navy - I am sure it's the same with all the armed forces.) But you will need a pass from him and proper id, etc...

Just out of curiosity-I have never recorded anything off of the I-tunes site. If I do buy the album-is it downloaded without the 2 second gaps? And is the sound quality as good as buying the actual cd? :pirate: I love i-tunes, now that you can do them on a non-mac. The 2 second gaps don't bother me...

When Jimmy released Pirate Looks at Forty, he did a book signing at Moe's Books in Berkeley. A good friend told me, knowing what a nut I am about all things Jimmy, so off I went. I was babysitting for a living at the time and took my "charges" along - 5 little kids, youngest 9 months, olde...

Songs Jimmy Knows By Heart

Like most of you who have replied, I would go to any Jimmy concert, no matter what he sang. H&*%, I would have loved to see him this year, but the unfortunate cancellation was a necessity, so I won't whine anymore about it. But I agree that the money aspect is a huge part for any artist - sad bu...

Captain:

It's so funny - reading some of the postings, I couldn't believe that people didn't like [fill in the blank] - as they say, that's what makes horse races.

Top Ten Reasons I'm a Parrothead

I broke up with my second husband partly because he was p*** that my brother played WDWGD at our reception; I listen to RM so much, I notice when they repeat songs; and I took 6 little kids to a book signing in Berkeley, so I could actually meet Bubba (my daughter did Fins for him.)

Bad Jimmy?

This was a great topic - I personally can't stand on albums:

The City
Desdemona
You'll never work in dis business

But I don't think I have heard a bad live song (well, maybe The City - just don't like that one.)

Our Prayers & Thoughts

I am so glad that Jimmy made it home to be with his momma. This was the only place he should have been last night - I remember Jimmy talking to her at her birthday party and teasing her about coming to visit him when he was in college. I am sure she was so proud of him and I am glad he could be with...
