Lived by the water all of my life (both coasts of Florida, coastal South Carolina), and I've never heard it pronounced like launch with the exception of a few tourists who were quickly corrected.

This story doesn't so much illustrate a problem with the company as it does with the state of customer service and awareness of "average" young people. I sometimes carry $2 bills (don't care for singles so much) as kind of a test to see how people react. I have yet to run into any problems...
