The Parrothead stuff, which I'm not into at all (but if you are, more power to ya) isn't what Buffett means to me but it definitely plays a part but only on the surface. It runs much deeper than than that to me. It's about a love of the ocean and having a sense of escapism that is grounded in realit...

My first show was at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill in the Spring of 1979 during Apple Chill Weekend, he was on a bill with local band Nantucket and The Spinners. It was after the release of You Had To Be There but prior to Volcano being released so he was debuting some Volcano songs on that tour incl...

yeah that helps alot I'm only joking with you. Apparently it's frowned upon at this site to inquire about Buffett's various residences which is understandable considering it's out of respect for his privacy. I'm a fan but I really have no desire to know here he lives, I just enjoy the music. I do o...

With the recent trend toward the beach lifestyle in mainstream country music, more and more people are discovering Jimmy Buffett. It's our duty to teach them that Jimmy hasn't changed - the world around him has evolved and come to appreciate the things he's always done. Buffett doesn't own a tradem...

Re: House?
I heard jimmy has a house in Glenwood Springs, CO.? I live in the area now, anybody know where it is? It's close to Aspen. Anything will help. I mean Glenwood Springs is near Aspen. I understand it's not too far from where Sonny Bono kissed the tree. The last word he reportedly heard was "duck...

A cover song is a song performed by some one else and then re done by someone.....just to do a song written by someone else does not make it a cover......at least according to all those pesky music classes I have had. That really doesn't make any sense to me especially since the Lord Richard Buckle...

I never saw them live back in the 70s when I first got into them but I finally saw them on the Get A Grip Tour a few years ago and thought they were great live. As for their studio albums, aside from an occasional tune here or there, they haven't done anything I felt compelled enough to pick up sinc...

My favorite JB covers are Southern Cross and God's Own Drunk....although God's Own Drunk may not be a cover I think it might have been just been written by someone else. I really wish he would play that one in May...it is my favorite If a cover isn't a song written by someone else, what's your defi...
