Sail On Bowie

"I want it to be remembered that I was commissioner during a time of tremendous growth in the popularity of the game," he said, "and that it was a time in which no one could question the integrity of the game." Former Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn has died at 80. Personally I...

Three and potentially four HOF members from the same team that didn't win anything, some say that proves what a bunch of chokers they were. Wrong! It proves what a bad manager Leo Durocher was for the Cubs. played the same 8 day in and day out in one of the hottest summers in Chicago on record ('69)...

Garry, found a similar book, "All About Me" and always meant to get Mom and Dad to sit down and tell their stories for the grandkids. When you think about what they had seen from 1918 until the 2000's is incredible. I never got around to it and kick myself all the time now that Dad is gone.

I could have used that a year ago. No matter how prepared you think you are when that time comes it is crushing. Not unlike a few months before Dad passed and I went to see him. My brother warned me and told me exactly what to expect. But to be there and see it first hand was devastating. I held it ...

We have penciled in the date. Maybe we can actually set aside a little at a time.

btw, have not bought tickets in advance since 1992, always get them in the lot and usually pretty good ones too. Best was 8th row :D

As a Bull fan from day one, I have to say that 1979 Sonic's team was probably one of my favorite teams of all time. Going to Illinois State U. I had the opportunity to watch Sikma play and interview him several times as a television reporter. But watching DJ, Gus, Jack,Downtown Freddie Brown and the...
