Re: Question about Margaritaville, Las Vegas

The last time I was in Vegas, they were still building the Margaritaville, so, I don't know much about it. Does anyone know how crowded it usually gets on Friday nights? I'm going there with about 9 other people on Friday night and am concerned about getting a table. I called them and they don't ha...

Re: Ebay

After I buy tickets I like to check out what they are selling for. Not that I am going to sell mine nor do I buy extras. At least for the Frisco show I have noticed that the prices are flat. The demand on ebay doesn't seem to be there this year. Has anyone else noticed the same thing? I agree with ...

We're staying at a time share resort on Ocean Ave. Just don't know what to do until we get there, I guess. Do they allow skateboarding? I think I've seen on TV people rollerblading, so I'm wondering. I know there's lots of good music and clubs. Anything in particular we shouldn't miss??? There's a ...

I'd highly recommend the duck boat tour. When you get out on the river, they let the kids drive the boat. Your 9 year old will love it.

Be aware that they do sometimes book up in advance for popular weekend times.

My favorite hotel on Miami Beach is Loews. But it can be expensive. On Collins Ave., just a couple of blocks from Ocean Ave. Right on the beach and a great pool area as well.

I can't give too much more information than everyone else has given, all good. I didn't read anyone suggesting trip insurance though. If someone did, please excuse. I saw that you were going in September. Hurricane season! Normally I would not suggest trip insurance, but you may want to consider it...

A couple of other things in response to your questions. Security is fairly tight getting on the ship. At least on Royal Caribbean, you go through a metal detector and your carryons are xrayed. They do confiscate booze if found, but unopened food is usually allowed. For example, if you buy coffee in ...

Re: Going crusing, need help from experienced cruisers.

So we finally decided on a vacation in Sept. We are going on a cruise to Grand Turk, St. Thomas, and somewhere else I can not remember. We booked a room with a guarinteed balcony. Thing is that to save some money we did it like this. We do not have an actual room assignment till we get there. We ar...

Sorry, I may be too late to help you. But, we recently cruised on RC and you had to put all carryons through an xray, similar to an airport. Liquor is confiscated. Your best bet is in your checked luggage.

We've been to Antigua (cruise ship stop), but not Aruba.

The beach was beautiful ( I think it was called Dickenson Bay or something like that). But the island itself was nothing to write home about. I'm not sure I'd leave my resort if I were staying there.

At least Aruba has Carlos & Charlies

When Jimmy played at wrigley, I bought 5 tickets. 2 for the wife, and 3 incase I wanted to see Jimmy instead of working at Wrigle...

I have no problem admitting that I do try to get extras to sell for a profit. My theory on this is simple. I busted my ass to get the tickets. Either by taking a day off work to get them by standing in COLD weather, or whatever the case may be. You the person who decided to sleep in thinks that the...

Just there a couple of weeks ago on a cruise. One of my favorite stops. Seven mile beach is pretty close to town, beautiful and inexpensive to get to. I want to say cab fare was something like $4 a person each way. The beach was free (except for chairs, etc.). The Margaritaville in Grand Cayman is o...

My credit card company shows a charge by Ticketmaster for the tickets we purchased for 9/2. Although the tickets aren't yet in hand, I take this as a very good sign that you didn't have to be a Pats season ticket holder to be in the presale.

One other hint that this may be real. The New England Revolution play their soccer games at Gillette. No home games are scheduled from 8/25 - 9/15.
