Re: St. Croix, USVI

Old timer here, I dropped off BN for a few years. Anyway, I lived in the USVI for 6 months back in 2006, spent about half of my time on St. Croix, seen just about all there is to see on all 3 islands. The Salt River Bay marina is a nice area, and is close to everything (though on an island that's on...

wait, hang on a second while I attempt to give a darn about this.... nope, not gonna happen. She's an adult American, free to do what she chooses. If she wants to become a trainwreck, that's her business, and I couldn't care less. Certainly bolsters K-dork's odds of getting custody of the kids, anyw...

Ugh...after spending most of last year in the USVI, this cold and snow crap really gets under your skin quick. I've been looking at vacation options for next month. Either scuba diving in Mexico or just plain raising cain in Ft. Myers if my parents will let me and my friends invade their condo for a...

Just about done with "Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk. Quite a dark satire (I know, shocking to anyone familiar with his stuff).

I'd rather see him have another mediocre year in GB than see him playing for some other team, so I guess I'm happy.

Hey folks, I know it's been quite a while since I lurked here, I've been busy. In the past few months: Done with the USVI work thing (it's still a mess, but my talents were needed elsewhere, someone else gets to try and clean it up) Moved to Chicago for the next work project (Chicago Public Schools)...

What was your first date ever???? We went bowling and drove around looking for something a bit more interesting to do. (hey, I was 17, give me a break) With your Perminant Honey? I haven't had that date yet. Considering my age, I'm beginning to wonder if it's EVER gonna happen. Best First Date Ever...

Although this story is sad, it comes as no suprise to me. I love grouper and eat it often. I can usually spot a fake in a hurry. I once ordered a grouper sandwich at Cap's on the water (for you St Augie folks) and got tilapia. When I questioned it the wait person told me it was grouper, I'm not an ...

Well then I'd suggest not spending a considerable amount of time in the VI. EVERYONE here serves Mahi-Mahi, and none very well, I might add. It's like cod in the Midwest, you can't avoid it.
