I distinctly remember having my friend over for the night when I was probably about 8 or 9 (boys don't call them "sleep-overs", gosh). We were up early enough to catch the national anthem on Channel 18 before cartoons started, and for some reason we thought it was a great idea to do the wh...

I'm not too much help when it comes to the release of the new CD, but I did hear Todd play a funny song about Seattle grunge music yesterday  He was in one of the local radio station's studio doing some live tracks for their "StudioC" recordings. Funny stuff. I'll have to check out m...

I haven't been to the BVI so I can't speak for them, but on the USVI side your pickins are a little slim. Yes, there's 2 campgrounds in the National Park on St. John (Maho Bay and Cinnamon Bay), but St. Thomas doesn't have anything like that, and neither does St. Croix (plus St. Croix is a little ha...

Just picked this one up at a bookstore in CLT on my way home from the islands for the weekend. http://www.longitudebooks.com/images/book_large/PAC146.jpg It's about a guy who moves to a small, poor, isloated island nation in the middle of the Pacific for 2 years. I'm about 1/3 of the way through it ...

Good point. Going on 4 months on this work assignment in the USVI, and I still can't get over how blue and clear the waters of the Caribbean are. Simply stunning.

3. Something breaded, deep fried, and salty. I'm thinking finding myself some deep fried pickles sounds good (that thread has me starving), but jalapeno poppers will do in a pinch. Get yourself down to JD's Bait Shop (yes, it's a bar), I believe it's down on Arapahoe just east of I-25; and get thei...
