That time of year, you should be able to snag a good deal to the Pacific coast of Mexico (Acapulco, Mazatlan, Huatulco, etc.). Don't have to worry about hurricanes there.

I'm still waiting for my work project in the USVI to get started, should be getting the schedule sometime this week. Not as big a deal as you folks moving permantly south, but who knows, maybe I'll just stay in the islands.. :)

I can relate, I work for a company that makes telephone systems, and several of the local school districts are my customers. You wouldn't believe the stuff I see/hear in the middle and high schools these days.. I'm only 31, but when I was a teenager it was certainly a different world.

I'm 2 semesters into finishing my degree, going online as well. My books are actually included in my tuition (just over $4k/semester). Luckily my employer is giving me full tuition reimbursement. (Actually that's a BIG reason why I took the job)
