Oh sure...it's all fun until you get a chunk of galley mud in your nose. It's the interesting times like that which we remember the most.

It sound like alot to do in such a short time. Never made it south of Fes, went there for a shopping excursion after a few days in Tangier. There will be plenty to do and see where you are, but a trip up to Tangier for an afternoon would be cool. If you can spent an afternoon walking around the Casb...

It's true, the beach at Holiday Isle is for guests...but if you don't make a big deal of it and don't haul in armloads of beach crap you shouldn't have a problem. (might also want to leave any out of town sports attire at home) Also, if you line up in the barbeque stand and buy a few beers at the ra...

About 8 miles to the west is Long Key State Park. Many people go there to camp, but it still has a nice frontage of the Straits. About 9 miles back up the road is Holiday Isle. It is just west of Theatre of the Seas. Cheryle and I took the kids there 2 days ago actually. Holiday Isle is a couple of ...

In that area the place I would go in that area for a margarita is Morada Bay Club. Adjacent to the Morada Bay, between it and the Zane Grey lounge, are a bunch of flats guides in the marina there. There are also a couple of big game operators out of there also. Depends on what they are into I guess....

The place they are staying is right smack next to Theater of the Seas, which used to be an empty quarry after the Overseas Railway was built. They will be staying right in the middle of fish central. Not sure if angling is their thing, but at that time of year the sailfish and wahoo are real hot out...

If it comes on late at night, Cheryle just throws a 6 pack in the fridge and says good night.....she understands. "Rico...you know what to do!" "I need a corporal. You're it, until you're dead or ...

In my active duty days flying the Lockheed S-3 Viking with VS-32, Jimmy came aboard for his turkey shot. It was aboard the USS America CV-66. We had just left a 4 day port call in St Thomas on our way up to the Arctic Circle. (you've probably read the whole "bubbles up" story). The pic of him sittin...

Like the post said, the job will be going on for quite a while. Best bet is to check 103.1 and see what they are saying about current traffic back-ups. Some days you can blast right through it, other days you park and get to know your neighbor. They have just planted the first couple rows of support...

Hey Red...If you're kids are 7 & 2, and you are leaving mousetown at 10, here's what I can throw in. You will need to take the Florida Turnpike south. From the park, get on the Osceola Parkway. Just after you pass the Wal-Mart, be in the right lane. You will now have 245 miles until you reach Florid...

I sent the guys at Buccaneer press some email. Any list that doesn't include Snappers, Craigs, or Morada Bay has holes in it. Although it is admittedly non-comprehensive, I just thought any list that had the Outback and didn't have those could use some updating. Cool guide though. But that's the pro...

Too many things getting in the way of parenting. One of my projects in high school was a parenting exercise. The class paired up and we had to get an egg, name it, and carry it everywhere. Scratch the famed Copper Kettle Restaurant adjacent to the Tavernier Hotel from the list. The 'For Lease' sign went up, so if you're planning on staying at the Tavernier Hotel on the way down..make other plans for food.

I'm not quite sure where you learned that there was no consequence to what we say.

There is always consequence to what we say and that's the way it should be.
