Place you're talking about is Sundowners Key Largo....not far from the house at all. MM104 bayside, just past the Caribbean Club. Look for it on the right once you pass the entrance to Pennekamp. Good outdoor deck and bar, but don't let the name fool you. They used to have a great view until about 6...

I'd like to see the Mythbusters do an episode on whether or not a dryer can actually eat a sock.

Over the last year or so, the Caribbean Tourism folks have asked us to explore the possibility of starting a Montserrat route, which we have avoided on account of the safety factor. Most of our flights in and around the Soufriere Hills volcano are an overfly enroute. Monitoring of this particular vo...

You know, after re-reading my post it would have seemed that the :40 would have been implied as an 'across the board' time frame. I was speaking from a personal perspective relating to San Juan and that really didn't get across there.

I sit corrected.

:40 is it for legality purposes, weather delays excluded. If the delays are due to weather, the airline is not responsible. Anything smaller than :40, you're on your own with no airline liability. As one who has worked as a System Operations Manager in an airline operations center, I can tell you th...

Tom Seaver. Last time I saw him play was his first trip back to Shea after the trade. Seats on the 3rd base line. I was not really old enough to grasp the concept of why a team would trade a good player. It was also the same year I found out Santa Clause lived in my parents closet. I hated that year...

The thing about Bull Durham, as good as it is, is that the film is not one you can sit down and watch with your little leaguer. Since baseball should be enjoyed by both young and old alike, Field of Dreams deserves the top spot in my opinion.

Thanks for putting it up here as well. Need to sit down and do some updating it looks like. Green Turtle has closed, and the kitchen staff has been dispersed. Snappers has revamped it's staff and menu, so soon it will be time to see if there have been significant improvements. Anglers lounge in Mara...

It's really not a problem, however a certain degree of moderation should be applied. I jump seat home from work on either American or Spirit out of San Juan. Once or twice a month I will bring home my gatherings from various rum distillers throughout the Caribbean. There have been a couple times I h...

In Islamorada the big fishing spot is Holiday Isle. It was bought recently, however the place does have a few miles behind it. Since Holiday Isle is close proximity to the reef and some good flats, the rentals in the area are high mileage also. There really hasn't been any new construction there for...

Part of it is the reliability issue. The last time I saw Jimmy bring the HD to Watson Island, the plane took up ramp space for a day and a half for an unsafe nosegear indication. He spent quite a bit of time in the office waiting for the maintenance verdict and his ride from Palm Beach to show up. O...
