If you don't wan't it, don't buy it. I hope he makes as much money as he and his heirs wish to spend. You see, in America, you should root for the businessman to succeed, this keeps the economy in motion, which keeps our taxes lower, and standard of living higher.

Having been at both shows, I think the Anguilla show was good enough to be a stand-alone DVD release. Instead of combining footage, I think I'd rather see a bonus DVD with footage from Paris, including maybe a little travelogue-type thing - maybe something along the lines of when they show Jimmy ri...

Doesn't it take a sharp mind to manage and organize multi-city tours? Doesn't it take a sharp mind to oversee the Margaritaville label? Doesn't it take a sharp mind to pilot a seaplane? Watercraft? Doesn't it take a sharp mind to write and produce album after album? Doesn't it take a sharp mind to c...

Why does everyone complain? When it is released, act then. Don't anticipate what you cannot control. Don't even bother to try to get the early "news" (gossip). Just relax. Have a couple of Margaritas (or whatever you drink) each day. Live each day to its fullist. Then one day, someone will...

I just checked my TiVo and sure enough those 2 shows are scheduled to be recorded. Gotta love my wishlist for "Buffett". Bill Wishlists are the best. TIVO TIP: Remember to also put into your wishlist "Buffet". He has been mispelled in the past, and you can always delete those fo...

I assume he will do 4 songs from a BUFETT album to start the second half of each show. Of course he didn't say he would be featuring his own work. If he plays VEGAS this year, maybe he will do 4 songs from Wayne Newton's greatest hits!

And the others cost much more than Jimmy's and are for only 4 people making them more than double the price.

$30,000 / 8 = $3,750 Per person. It says the net proceeds go to Make-a-Wish. At first glance, it looks like a tax deduction, and for some of us it drops the price to $2,290, and in states with income tax even lower. BUT......IT IS NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE. JIMMY GETS THE TAX DEDUCTION if you read it corre...

Here's the math: 99.7% x 24,300 = 24227.
24,300 - 24227 = 73
He averaged 73 unsold seats per show.

All of the acts with 98% are really 100%. Math suks and USA Today took litteral numbers not actual numbers or vice versa. Maybe tickets held for band member and promoter guests we unused and released at the last minute and no one bought them. I once bought 5th row tickets the week of a show, tickets...

The island does not sound at all like a tropical paradise that anyone I know would want to visit...every other sentence in the article says something is covered with ash. Give me a beach where when the wind blows I don't end up covered with ash myself. There are many to choose from and this aint one...

I agree. The artists are the ones who should ultimately decide on the distribution network for their products. If an artist wants you to SAMPLE his work, the artist can make it available a number of ways, including the artist's own web-site, live performances and of course radio play and music store...

When Buffett plays Vegas he can earn a ton of money. The venue will pay him more than the gross ticket sales. The concert can be a loss-leader to get people into the building...just like cheap buffets, free lounge entertainment, free drinks and cheap room rates. Once in the building, the casino know...

If the Tax rate is 50% on gross receipts, then the city will collect from the lot owner $50 for every $100 charged. You are right, the customer is paying $50 for parking and $50 for taxes, which is a 100% tax. Most people don't take the time to look at it that way. Just like Social Security taxes. E...

What is not right? They have a product, 500 parking spaces. Customers have the option to buy that product. It looks like they have paying customers. A very simple case of supply and demand. If they don't sell enough spaces, the price will be lower next time. If they sell out, the price could go up n...
