I was one of the few (2?) people who viewed the original post last night, before it was forced to be edited. The original language was quite a bit stronger and really got me going. I have to say that this comment is waaaaay off base. Instead of going with my initial reaction ... I actually re...

I'm still alive, tho the St Louis portion of my bracket took a beating. I have KY, Oak St, Ill and Conn in my final 4. The way these games have been going, it COULD happen, lol.

What JB Tunez Do You NEVER Mind Hearing Often?

There are some Buffett songs no matter how much I hear them, I never tire of them. Some of my top fav live repeats are: One Particular Harbor, Southern Cross, Rag Top Day, and Pascagoula Run.

I've only heard that twice out of 29 shows. There are some songs I can just never get sick of tho. Hmmm, there's an idea for a sister thread ;)

Yeah it does s u c k. The justification lies in the permits to resell tix. I believe those permits are pricey, which allows brokers to have a much higher FMV than the average joe. Those laws were originally put in place to protect ticket buyers, but I personally feel like they have hurt buyers inste...

I thought that alot of states had laws regarding ticket scalping. If so, dosen't ebay have to comply with that? They do and eBay does. Problem is, if you're a licensed ticket broker business you can sell for a hefty markup regardless of the state laws. They are immune from those laws. The anti-scal...

Pencil thin Mustache, Grapefruit Jucyfruit and Desmona's Building a Rocketship. They are not every show kind of songs, but I could do without them.

SchoolGirlHeart, I love Math Sux! Of course I have only heard it live once.

I am not familiar with the mail order system. How did they keep the tickets "in the family"? I would think its just another way for ticket brokers to grab all the prime seats. You never knew what you were going to get as far as seat locations. Plus there was a limit of how many tickets yo...

Re: I agree

It seems to be the fairest way to ensure fans get the best seats. I think its an option many artists/bands should look into. Perhaps its matter of personnel or resources. But I would think with the business mechanisms Buffett has in place, it wouldn't be a huge problem. I don't know if they still d...

Wonder Why Buffett Doesn't Do Mail Order Tix

You know, I used to see The Dead a lot for many years as well as Widespread Panic. Both of those bands had mail order tickets for fans. They were never a guarantee or anything, but in all the years I participated, I was only shut out once for a venue (Deer Creek). You mail your request(s) in a set f...

Same for me with Publix. I was left enough time to get back to the house if I drew a bad number. I drew #1, but didn't get the kind of "great" seat I thought I should get, that's for sure. If you have fast internet, I think I would go that route as a first choice.
