yes, they are closing on August 31st. and yes, I also believe that Myrtle Beach takes a lot of their business. having the restaurant attached is huge. There's always a long wait for a table which mean plenty of time to shop.

I grew up seeing Jimmy at Merriweather and until Merriweather was purchased by SFX it was the best venue to see him. Since then, Merriweather was always second fiddle to Nissan Pavilion as far as bookings and promotional money. SFX was then bought by Clear Channel and Clear Channel eventually dumped...

I guess this means I need to stop complaining about the $25 parking fee they charge at FedEx Field for concerts & games. What is shocking to me is that people are actually paying this price to park in this lot. There's been a lot of complaints about this summer's tour: fewer dates, bigger venues...
