Re: SIRIUS Radio Station

Not sure if people already know about this or not, but just in case: I have Dish Network and just realized I get SIRIUS Radio through my TV. Anyway, channel 97 is called "Vacation" and plays some great stuff. Since yesterday I have heard lots of Buffett, plus steelbands, Belafonte, soca, calypso an...

I'm excited to hear this report, but frankly I'm skeptical. You see, 60 Minutes (Ed Bradley) already DID the Jimmy story a few years back. It was at about the same time his "Don't Stop the Carnival" play was coming out and the story was very well done. If I'm wrong, I'll be one happy tv-watcher tha...

It may even get more complicated. MCA went bankrupt around a year ago. I heard about it on the local classic rock station down here. They even played "workin for MCA" after they broke the story. So some foreign company probably owns the rights to those oldies now and they may not even know who Jimm...

There is a greasy spoon place called "Little Smokeys" in a tiny town in Western North Carolina called Burnsville. And they sell a freakin monster called the "Mountain Burger", with like a pound of meat, slaw, bacon and chili. Evil stuff, best burger I've ever had.

Hilo Hatties has something close as well. I guess these are called "Band Shirts" (not that kind of band shirt) What kind of songs does the band play? I think that shirt was made in 2001, April.. sometime between 2 and 3p on the 4th.. on the north side of the factory. by a sweaty Laotian midget name...
