Who's going to Paris?

Just curious if any local folks are going to Paris? My wife thinks it will be mostly Americans, but I am not so sure.
Anyway, we'll be there!

Re: OK Jiffy Lube Go'ers, let's have it.........

It was weird, the parking lots were a ghost town, but the bathrooms weren't full of puke, it was easy to get in and out of the place (which was a first) and the show was great. I don't really have any complaints. Of course, as an older gent, my tail-gate-ing days are mostly over.

Re: Rolling Stones Top 500 Songs

All one needs to know about the list is that Joan Jetts "I love Rock and Roll" made the list, and "American Pie" did not.

Re: Jimmy's opening acts

I saw Livingston Taylor open up at Meriwether in 1980.
Also, the Neville Brothers at Jones Beach in hell, I don't remember what year.
Late 80's or early 90's.

Re: "Incommunicado"

Great song, Very good album. That was my "make or break" Buffett album. I wasn't thrilled with Volcano, and I thought I'd give him one more chance. I had to listen to it several times, but it did the trick. I 've bought them all since. As for McGee, I don't think he ever spent much time in...

Re: Have You Seen Jimmy Perform "God's Own Drunk" in Person?

I saw it, way back in the day. At King's Dominion and Meriwhether Post.
I never cared for it. That was always tme to freshen up the beer situation.

Re: You Had to be there

I didn't see that tour at King's Dominion, but I saw Jimmy there a couple of years later. I think at the time you could get into the show with like 6 Coca-Cola bottle caps. Those were the days. I have a picture somwhere from one of the shows. Jimmy was wearing "O P" courderoy shorts. The e...

Introductions to songs on live albums...

Do you think Jimmy realizes that he refers to almost every song on his live albums as "a little song"?
He has been doing it since "You had to be there" and continues to the present. I always thought this was odd.
Surely he must have some "big songs".

While I don't generally agree with most of Jimmy's political views, at least he is smart enough not to espouse them when I pay to see him. I have seen him well over 100 times now, and I don't remember him ever trying to influence any election. If you are going to a fund raiser or a show to raise awa...

I can't help you. we left early because we had our 12 year old with us. He enjoyed the show but was tired. we were okay with it because as much as I love Jimmy, I have seen that same show about 50 times now. The parking seemed a lot more tame and organized, but I am sure it was a cluster. My brother...

Wow. I am surprised that some of you don't think that Jimmy will ever make it. I haven't been to the Hall of Fame, and I won't go until Jimmy, Warren Zevon and Randy Newman are all in. I guess I won't be going, but I do think Jimmy will get in. It seems as if they are running out of candidates. I me...

into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when he finally gets in?
I have been kicking this around for a while and can't think of any logical
choice.
Anybody have any ideas?

I still don't understand why some of you care how people spend their money. It is nobody's business but the person spending it.

If I have lots of money, isn't it my business what I do with it? I don't understand how some people can gripe about not getting tickets, and then hammer someone who spends a ridiculous sum of money for tickets. We just bought 4 tickets for Nissan for over $600.00 and that was the going rate. That se...
