Tinley Park show - parking lot radio broadcast

For those hitting "the bank" in Tinley Park, if you'd like you may tune your radio to 99.1 for "Parrothead Radio" broadcasting for the parking lot. Lot's of Jimmy of course, with a bunch of other Buffett tailgate friendly music. Barring any technical difficulties the operation sh...

I know what you mean. It's still seems out of place. I suppose I have enough to keep me occupied over the winter.

Can't afford a boat.
No time for the beach.
Ballads are well...ballads.
Bars however, the bar is where those life stories are made and shared. My friends are there, that's where they find me.
But then there's the times when you mix it up...like a boat drink.

Find JB? I didn't know he was missing. Seriously... I don't quite understand anyone that gets completely into the sort of "worship" they have for certain performers. This "state of mind" existed/exists with or without him, he simply embraced it and many went along for the ride. A...

I think my first was Banana Wind. No reason. I don't recall for sure.
I've always been a big fan of the used CD store. I pick things up as I spot them. So I may not get my favorite or the latest thing, you get what they have when they have it. Still missing a few but have most of Jimmy's stuff.

I suspect he will adjust the set list a little as he does for most shows.
I normally get to both shows in Chicago and he changes a few songs between the nights. More than 6 from the new album is doubtful.

Follow up to Sir Gumby...

I was partying with gumby, (or he with me, it was our group of 6) Normally my very favorite place to see Jimmy is Alpine. But this year just wasn't the best. As Sir Gumby mentioned, someone did steal our flag. Not only the flag, but the poles it was on, and scratched the entire side of my car in the...

windows

Technically, you can't remove IE from windows. IE is part of the user interface. There are some tricks to remove the web browsing components and registry tricks and such. But there is no removing it. You could build a small network if you have the connectivity, a LAN card in each computer, and trans...

Coe is ok

I've always been entertained by David Alan Coe. Even much of his raunchy stuff is fun to listen to. I don't care for the racist stuff, as I don't subscribe to those positions. But there is much more to Coe than that stuff. He's been making music and writing songs for a long time. He has a DVD out, &...

Gorganzola Cheeseburgers
Terriaki Pinnapple burgers (these are to die for)
Jambalaya
Sole
Beer basted Peppers and potatoes
basic Brats

I'm thinking Stilton burgers for an upcoming show.

Biggest thing is one of the gang doesn't like seafood.

It's in your hands

Nobody HAS to pay $800 to see Jimmy Buffett. Its called supply and demand. When people refuse to pay too much for tickets, sales will drop. Only when the profit is taken out of the ticket reselling business will it end. These "legal scalpers" get in to deals with Ticketshyster and buy tick...

Barometer Soup is where it's at

I quite like most everything of Jimmy's. But I think if I had to pick a favorite it could be Barometer Soup. I find the lyrics, production quality and the harmonies outstanding on that album. It opens with the title track and really sets the stage for the rest. I think a big part of it is exactly wh...

One of the best bloody marys I've ever had was made with Clamato and Lea and Perins worchestershire. (Lea and Perins is friggin awesome)
Loads of pepper.
Not sure about all the quantities, never got the real recipe.
Maybe somebody will experiment.

It's simpler than some others, which is perfect for tailgating. In a typical approx 12 oz glass...ingredients should cold. 1 Jigger 151 rum (make a little stronger if you like) 1 Jigger Sweet and Sour fill glass most of the way with Pinnapple-Orange juice.
