It felt SOOOO good to walk around my deck barefoot the other day... (first day of Spring.) Think I'll go do it now and dig some more leaves out of the pool. When I was a kid in the summer, I'd wear shoes one day a week, to church on Sunday, so I know what you mean. Now, though, with fallen arches, ...

Love being barefoot?

With summer coming, I figured I'd ask....all kidding aside.....anyone else hate having their feet covered? The only shoes I wear are flip flops, thong sandals, and backless clogs sometimes in the winter. I absolutely hate any shoes that make my feet feel confined. If I wear tennis shoes to the gym, ...

I have a question for all the people who refuse to use the self-checkout because you want to help people keep their jobs. Do you refuse to use ATMs too? It's the same concept. Don't use ATMs either. Have had them mess up my account on more than one occasion and when I use to use them back in the da...

Bimini

I named my dog after the island and want to go someday. Anyone ever been? I want to fly directly to Bimini from florida. No boats, I get seasick. I want to just stay on that island. I don't need alot of nightlife, etc. I stayed in Grenada for 2 weeks and was perfectly content going to the beach ever...

I've lived in Baltimore all my life. ANY hotel within walking distance is gonna be pretty pricey. There's a Sheraton and Marriott for starters. Crabs: Obryckis is a Baltimore favorite. They are on Pratt Street (runs right in front of the Harbor and Camden Yards) but down towards Fells Point. Not wal...

If you really want to lose weight and keep it off: I can tell you something that works for everyone....build muscle. Not like body builders, just weight train. Start small work and work up. Love the self check-outs. I'm as fast or faster than the checkout clerks, plus I don't risk getting a rude one. I understand the "jobs" argument of some in this discussion, but guess I don't see the point of paying people to do things that don't add value to the equation. :-? (BTW, I feel...

My blood pressure skyrockets when I drive thru NJ and have to get gas. They take their good 'ol time filling up the cars. Drives me insane. Then they want to wash the windows. I don't have time for that!!!! When I get gas, I'm in and out. I'm holding the pump watching for it to stop. I hang it up a...

get use to them, we had full service gas stations at one time, not too many of those around anymore. Unless Jersey changes the law, that won't happen. However, with prices going up, I'm sure, eventually, owners will ask the state to allow self "service" in order to turn profit. It won't b...

I've always believed you can tell a lot about a person by the way they act towards, or treat people, who are in a service job there are exceptions tho. I am in a position where I do not deal with people at all, except when I have to fill in for my coworker. I HATE dealing with people and I know I a...

I understand about the store saving/making more money by not paying employees. However, my time is WAY, WAY more valuable than that. If I can save time I really don't care that the store is making more money or not. I'm always in a rush when shopping and have more important things to be doing than s...

Self Checkouts?

A co worker and I got into this conversation yesterday. Do you love self checkouts or hate them? My coworker thinks that if you are paying for an item, you should get the service included. I personally think they are awesome. I am always in a rush and I HATE waiting for slow cashiers. Drives me nuts...
