Let's be real here folks. I'm a very big JB fan and have been to every Nissan show for the last 5-6 years (including both nights when he was doing two shows). But, Jimmy obviously doesn't care about scalpers. He is obviously very interested in making money....and lots of it at our expense. And why s...

I'm curious why you think that way. Do you think of insurance brokers or mortgage brokers the same way? Isn't a ticket broker just an occupation. Now, scalpers on the other hand, they operate illegally and are usually very shady and unethical, but if a broker operates within the law and is ethical, ...

Sorry, just to add to my last line above...why would Jimmy take such actions. It may be an unpopular statement, but it's pretty clear Jimmy is very interested in making money these days (see calaborations, restaurants, books, merchandise, more restaurants, larger venues). I can't blame him, but how ...

Just a question regarding tickets, do the folks on this board draw a line between ticket brokers and ticket scalpers? Is there just as much angst for brokers, or do you look at them in the same light as scalpers, or is there even a difference? I'm neither, just curious. I agree Jimmy could take some...

Need assistance properly baptising a co-worker

I have a co-worker who is just starting to become quite interested in Bubba. She's asked me questions before, but is now ready to take the plunge and asked about getting tickets to a show. That part I've got covered. My request is for some ideas on how to properly bring her into the phlock. I've sha...

Buffett Christmas gifts, whaddya get?

I may be late on the topic, and have been away from BN a while, but must share my good Christmas fortune. By the way, happy b-day Bubba. Under the tree this year was a signed acoustic guitar by Jimmy himself. The guitar is a Takamine (that's what the box it came in says) and it says Jasmine (or some...

What happened in Indy last night?

Wasn't Alan Jackson shooting clips for the video from last night's concert? Was Alan there? Did it kick a$$? Who was there, what happened, inquiring minds want to know?!

I wish everyone out there luck, however, you must create your own luck. Don't be lazy and complain when you don't get tix. Do some research, get the local scoop. Get creative. I've been going to the same place four years in a row and gotten tix everytime, fair and square, then turn those into better...

rdalton Check the guys feedback. See if he's sold others tickets in the past and if they have had any problem. I have bought and sold Buffett tix in the past on ebay and have had not problem because I only deal with people who have lots of feedback and little or no negative feedback. And yeah, consi...

We all pay too much for cars, but still drive, we pay too much for groceries, but still eat, we pay way too much in taxes, but still live in the best d*mn country ever, what's wrong with paying too much to see our favorite performer, who knows how much longer he does this. I just don't agree with an...

All you're really screwing up is honest parrottheads wanting to bid and get a good price on tickets by trying to bid them up and then not pay. Frankly I'd pay a little more rather than sit home, and apparently a lot of other p'heads would too because there sure are a lot of tickets being sold!

Ok, here goes. Got to the TM site one hour before the sale. Got the very last spot in line. Got the last six lawns, second year in a row this has happened. My friend got me four more online. I will sell six lawns to pay for the two orchestra row M's (front and center baby!). Total out of pocket expe...

One thing I always do is make sure you buy from someone with a lot of feedback. Make sure all of the feedback is positive. Read some of the feedback and check to see if they've sold tickets before and if the recipients are happy with their purchase. If the seller has very few or no feedback, I would...

For the record, I did not post the previous message but do agree with it completely! What's a couple hundred bucks once a year to see a great event. Most of us waste that much money over the course of a couple of months!

Bite the bullet, go see Jimmy!

Imagine that, more b!tching about TM. Dude, TM sometimes releases tix close to the show, that's why they are still listed as on sale. Scalping is illegal, however, brokers can ask whatever they want as long as they have a license to sell tickets, kind of like every other business know to man. You ma...
