Um, this is turning into a kinda gross thread. For people who HAVE to fly. (Cause we live on an island.) (But fortunately NOT Delta.) Huh! Whatever happened to that guy who was suing one of the airlines because they made him spend the flight sitting in the can -- they'd overbooked and the flight att...

Hmmm.... we were eating at Bobby's Marina, at the Green House, this past week, but we didn't notice a shop like that. But then we weren't 'shopping' and no cruise ships were in. Phillipsburg has a LOT of stores, so we were just there hoping one would be open on Sunday to replace a camera, as our goo...

5.4, centered at Chino Hills, 27 aftershocks so far largest 3.6 -- seems to have done little serious damage. Jimmy's OC office sending out emails. We had a 4.7 centered off Dominica, about 8 months ago. And of course in the Caribbean, always the fun of possible hurricanes and volcanos. Still, will t...

Regardless of any restrictions on y'all, JB himself is probably proud, no honored, to be there; it clo...

Hi there -- 'just back' from Anguilla/St. Kitts/St. Martin/Antigua and checking the email. Yes, we were once at DisneyWorld from December 26 to January 2, the exact dates you are going. It was a bit cool that year, but as at the time we lived in Wisconsin, it didn't bother us much. One thing you sho...

It's great to see people who are still excited as kids about this! Go Disney!Tarheel's 'modus operandi' with the afternoon break is just right! One of our trips we stayed at Port Orleans and we truly enjoyed it! And we really enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon during a hot June visit. Staying in the parks is th...

I've collected it for years... grew up on the Connecticut shore and of course have lived down island or in SoCal the last 6-7 years... my housekeeper in Barbados had a great idea -- wash all the salt water off and pile your seaglass in the bottom of a clear glass vase, instead of marbles or polished...

If you want an all inclusive, try the Club Med in Florida; friends who have been to other Club Meds say it is just like being at an island location, only from NJ you could drive down. Club Meds are adults only(mostly). And a little more upscale than places like Sandals. Excellent French food. I thin...

You don't need a blender to make rum punch!! $300!!!!!?

Gas here is US $1.70/gal. 'Course the island is only 60 miles by 40 miles.
So.
We wouldn't mind having a Costco, though. PriceSmart is the best we have. And that's not so hot. 45 minutes in line tonight. Euccch!

Don't know if it is available in Bermuda, but in B'dos you could buy ginger beer syrup, for mixing your own ginger beer with carbonated water (friends still bring it to us here from B'dos, 'cause we can't get it here) which you might be able to find in a Bermuda food market and bring back. Then you ...

A serious problem throughout our Caribbean. That's why we're here... Jimmy designs wastewater treatment systems for the islands, in the hope in future that this pollution can end, and maybe, maybe, 50-100 years after that, the reefs and keys will recover. It will be long after we're gone, it's just ...

If the water on Bimini is as beautiful as on San Salvador (Bahamas) --"just back!"-- you should definitely go even if you have to swim! Doesn't Bahamasair fly there? San Salvador is REALLY small and it had several BA flights a day.
