Now that is great news!!!!

I don't know of any tailgating, there's a few bars within walking distance. I'm driving up from Tucson Thursday and staying at the Hyatt a couple of blocks away.

Well I'm going - tickets are way cheaper than the MGM in Vegas, and I got a deal on a room at the Hyatt Regency a couple of blocks away.

We're staying at the Premier Inn this time. Used to stay at EconoLodge, but the Premier looked a bit nicer and has good online reviews. Got a room w/king bed for 58 bucks.

Well I'm going, I have my room and we're bringing two first-timers to the Island of Margaritaville!!!

For everyone who hasn't been to Econolodge yet (or can't remember, but you were told you had a great time) - it's about a half mile walk from Cricket Pavilion. The is a shopping center across the street to the north of Econolodge, so there is the option of a friend pushing you across the parking lot...

I'm ready to party too!! Coming up to Phoenix to the island of Margaritaville for a day makes me feel like I've been away from home for a week.

I don't know of anyone with extras. In the past I had pretty good luck on Ebay if you want to go that route - just have to make sure the seller has an excellent rating and alot of sales.

I think you're going to have to call (602) 254-7200 to ask, the Cricket Pavilion website says no tailgating - but I've always seen it for the Buffett shows there.

Not sure what the rules are - last time there was a pickup truck with a beach in the back, a small ford bronco with the engine removed that had been turned into a rolling bar, and my friend Trish took a ride on someone's big wheel......

I like to think of it as a well organized "gaggle". There's also an Arby's and Waffle House nearby, a Burger King across the street.
