P.S. Larry, How was it Live? We've only heard from people who listened on XM or watched on PPV. Copied from another thread: Simon & Garfunkle have no chemistry together at all anymore. Most of the time they were on stage they barely acknowledged each other, it was like they didn't want to be in...

Just curious, but why do you think there should have been a reference to Steve Goodman? This was a hurricane benefit concert, not a Steve Goodman tribute. Well because A: you can kill two birds with one stone and B: it was the anniversary of his death and C: he wrote City of New Orleans...see how i...

This is a copy of the post I had from the "Who's buying the PPV tonight?" thread. Oh well, I'm going to say it... the production sucked, Mac wasn't on mike for the first song, hewas having problems with his guitar to the beginning of the third song. Lots of dead air. And, (getting ready to...

Oh well, I'm going to say it... the production sucked, Mac wasn't on mike for the first song, hewas having problems with his guitar to the beginning of the third song. Lots of dead air. And, (getting ready to duck) other than Pascagoula Run, it was the same old, same old. Given the possibilities, I ...

I had my five year old watching the concert until the big cow came onstage and dropped the "F" bomb. It's a shame because my daughter likes Bette's music and I wanted her to see Bette. Thanks to the BNers who already blasted this tasteless, classless farm animal. Also, glad to hear the boo...

Use multiple 2 hour tapes. Recording in the 6 or 8 hour mode reduces the sound quality to $hit! :pirate:

There's something to be said for VHS. Unless you shell out big bucks, you can't share TiVo'd shows.

Nice "ring of honor" thing you got going on there. (Does that sound dirty?) :pirate: Sorry the game didn't end up better for you last night.

Should be a good show to have recorded.

Who's buying the PPV tonight?

Just wanted to see who is contributing to Katrina Relief by watching the PPV tonight. I'll be watching and doing the TiVo thing. DirecTv says they will replay it immediately after in case I miss something.

Enjoy. :pirate:

As long as Mailboat doesn't handle it, I can see it coming by the holidays. :pirate:

What I don't get is, why people who know they can't go, clutter the lines just to see what's out there, with no intention of buying. There may be people who actually want to buy tickets, but aren't able to get through... :-? [/rant] I waited until 11:00 to see what was available. If people ACTUALLY...

All three times I tried, the first time I went through the link and searched it offered 300 level for $100 seat and I did the "Release these Seats and Search Again" feature and it offered the $500 seats the next time.

Each time I asked for 2 seats "best available".

At 11:00 am Eastern time, I pulled up Section 122 Row C and Section 123 Row D (two tickets each, unfortunately I don't have the $500 each)

The seats are there.

Go get 'em! I can't swing $500 for 3 songs even for a good cause.

I'll buy the DVD/CD for $25. :pirate:

As of now, Ticketmaster has "The All Access Tour" listed as the event for 9/20 at MSG and tix are only $17. Do you think this show might get bumped? Elton John seems to be playing there all week. The All Access Tour is a tour of the building, not a concert. It's like the tour that ...
