Unfortunately, I've no doubt this number will go up. My prayers to everyone involved and all those worrying about loved ones. This is such a shame.

I personally have faith in both. My husband and father have both had concealed gun permits since they were able to, and have both instilled in me the knowledge to use a gun 'safely' (dad and hubby make me go to shooting range every couple of years). There is a gun stowed beside the bed on both sides...
