Re: Camden Pits

I was getting the same line about removing seats. Never happens, they usually add seats. The supervisor I spoke to said, they rearranged the seating in the pit, adding aisles AND seats. As for the venue, who should we harrass, er, I mean call now. The box office @ Camden. I'm sure they'll say we ha...

Re: Camden Pits

Oh and I was told VERY firmly "In no way will you be getting your original seats back." So obviously they know a lot more about the inventory of pit seats than they are telling us. They told me that several times, so it sounds like at least they are getting sick of our calls, which makes m...

Re: Camden Pits

Well, that was an interesting conversation. At first the Ticketmaster employee tried to tell me that from time to time they remove seats or rearrange seats and thats why seats are recalled. I obviously quickly corrected her and let her know that is not true as all of these seats are on broker websit...

Re: Camden Pits

I received a voicemail to call about "new tickets being offered to me". My online account says that I have seats in 102 row P7. I originally had 101 row P3. I think I have to call to confirm that I want the P7. So if I have to call, I might as well complain to get myself closer  I wil...

Re: Who is going to Camden 6/18/09?

I wont be at the lot until probably 5 or 6. My friend can't take the day off and I'm his ride. But I will be there nonetheless.

Re: Camden Pits

I'm having no luck. Maybe it is because I had 3rd row and they dont want to give anything that close. I would accept 6th row though if they offered. Oh well, I will be there either way.

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

Not trying to keep arguing with you Skibo, I promise  BUT, your comparing apples and oranges here. Baseball cards and antiques - value and price increase as time goes on. Concert tickets - value and price decrease as time goes on. And it's not due to demand for the items, its due to rarity. Bu...

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

What surprises me is that there has been no federal legislation over the secondary ticket market. Even more surprisingly, there is no taxation. HUH???? The legitimate brokers do pay taxes. What is there to investigate? Should baseball card dealers be investigated? You know the ones that sell cards ...

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

Did you ever think that if there were no brokers, then those people who were not able to purchase tickets went they when on sale would then be able to purchase them days later, because no brokers would have eaten them up? While this argument might apply for shows that might now sell out, it doesn't...

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

I don't get the hatred for brokers. They provide a valuable service to people that want to see a show that didn't have the ability to purchase tickets when they went on sale. My point of this post is not to come off as a jerk, but this is an absurd comment. You obviously did not think this through....

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

I think artists should sell the best tickets at a higher price and then reduce the prices further back in the stands. That way, if you want a really good ticket, you can pay for it. It is pretty straightforward. Pretty straight forward because that is the way it has always been done? Maybe I am stu...

Re: Goodbye To Scalpers & Ticket Brokers: Thank you Miley Cyrus!

I have been thinking of scenarios for a few years on how a ticketing system could work without getting seats in the hands of brokers, and without limiting the sale of tickets if something comes up last minute as others have mentioned. Unfortunately, I cant figure out a way to do this. If there is ev...
