After the stretch of live albums from 2003-07 doesn't any one think he should offer live audio of all shows like Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, The Who, Jewel Kilcher, Counting Crows, Dead & Company + Kiss all have (+ Jimmy would do archive titles)? They could be radio audio -mixed and mastered.
Offer new ones while he travels + old ones after they are replayed on SiriusXM.
If I ran it I'd start.
High Tide 2019 then maybe License to Chill (2004) then maybe something from the Hot Water era then maybe from the Barometer Soup era (1995-96) then maybe Songs from St. Somewhere (2013-14).
Live Audio.

Re: Live Audio.
While I think it’s a cool idea, I’m not sure if it would be worth it for JB and Margaritaville to invest in. Other than Kiss (and maybe Bruce), the bands that offer live show downloads in various formats vary their set lists in a big way. JB does not.
I’m a huge Phish fan and always buy the shows I attend from their live site the next day.
Yes I know Jimmy does mix in a few rarities here and there, but not in the way jambands mix up their setlists.
I think the current concert replay format on RM works well (and you don’t have to be a subscriber to listen).

Re: Live Audio.
All shows aired live on Radio Margaritaville are available for download from the jokelben server, the server also has a large collection of older shows dating back to 1974. All live shows are captured by BN member Sunlover through a fiber optic internet connection, Sunlover also captures older shows on the concert replay in order to upgrade some of the older lower quality audio recordings available on the server.

Re: Live Audio.
Jimmy did not start broadcasting Radio Margaritaville on Sirius/XM radio until 2005, prior to that Radio Margaritaville was available online via either at 32kbps or 64kbps so shows recorded before 2005 will be of varying quality. This is why I mentioned that Sunlover records concert replays in order to upgrade older shows.Showlistener2018 wrote: ↑April 29, 2019 9:06 pmWhy does Minneapolis '04 sound kind of distorted?urlcenter wrote: ↑April 29, 2019 10:55 amAll shows aired live on Radio Margaritaville are available for download from the jokelben server, the server also has a large collection of older shows dating back to 1974. There is a complete bit rate list posted over in the concert trading forum that will help you determine the quality of the recordings on the server:
http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewto ... 29&t=93635
Most shows with a bit rate of 256kbps were either recorded live by Sunlover or captured from a concert replay on RM
Discussion about audio recordings of shows are usually posted in the concert trading forum just for future reference
