I Found & Bought Floridays

Post by RemovedUser »

Another album to add to my collection, found Floridays today and I

couldn't pass it up. I'm up to 10 albums with many more to go.

Good call on grabbing Floridays when you see it. Tough to find sometimes.

For some reason, "No Plane on Sunday" is one of my faves. I kind of like the idea of getting stranded (temporarily) on an island some day. Nothing like being forced to take a day off.

So.... with all the albums you've grabbed lately, any new favorite songs?

Havana Matt - a great place to find those hard-to-get buffett albums is from your local libraries, they always seem to have a good selection of Buffett's hard-to-find 80s releases (or atleast the ones around here do)

I love Floridays, too. Today I found one of the 2 CDs I was missing (Hot Water) in the used bin at a local shop and snapped it up. So a good day all around!

DsilCaribe, I did love Creola at the CC show - I was really surpirsed and delighted to hear it.

I like Floridays but it's definitely not among any of my all time favorites of his. The cuts I like most are:

"I Love The Now"
"Creola"
"First Look"
"If It All Falls Down"

Matt,
No you won't...take a break that is. You think you'll stop but you won't be able to! I remember when I first discovered Buffett, I had to keep buying until I ran out of stuff to buy. After you get all the CD's you can through the "normal" channels you'll start with the bootlegs. And don't forget the books. And then it'll be magazines-old and new. Posters, autographed stuff, fridge magnets, postcards, jewlery, licence plate frame, stickers, etc, etc, etc. Oh poor Matt....he's definitely a classic phan. It's OK, it's only money. It sure is a lot less expensive than many other vices! Jimmy's music makes me happy almost every day and has for years. :D :D :D Now what better way to spend your dough?

helpin' out Matt

Post by krusin1 »

You know, I was thinking...

HavanaMatt is certainly doing his part picking up albums. Maybe those of us with some concerts recorded oughta help him out...

HavanaMatt,

PM me and I'll send you a couple of recorded concerts. No charge, no postage cost, no nothing. All I need is your address. 8)

How about it all? Think we can bury Matt in concerts? :pirate:
