There's a lot of good stuff in here, but a lot of people are posting perennial set list songs. I wanna know if anybody's heard stuff that they've never even heard of him performing elsewhere (or at least not in the last twenty years. Who's heard Turning Around live, or maybe Fifteen Year Old Girlfriend, or even Don't Bug Me. I'm dying to know if anybody else has heard Prince of Tides live. Someone once told me that the show in Hilton Head was the only time he ever played that song, and it really peaked my curiosity to know if that performance was really that rare.

Thats a great freakin' song!!!

I always love catching the first show of a tour or a concert after a long layoff in between tours because you have the chance of hearing something rare, fresh.....maybe even new!!

I remember catching the first show of the Spring 2003 Tour in Atlanta, and Jimmy encores with "Sail on Sailor".....I about burst out of my skin!!! I really scared about 1000 people because of my excitement for a song that they apparently never heard before. Jimmy didn't perform the song too well, muffling alot of lyrics...but I was absolutely amazed that he played one of my favorite songs.

I would have reacted the same way upon hearing Scarlet Begonias live for the first time.

The memory is a bit fuzzy but I think he played the Beatles medley "Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, and End at Shoreline back in the '90's. Does anyone else remember this? Or were the Margaritas that good.

Cruising ************, looks like Prince of Tides is a pretty rare one to hear. Only listed once on the Hot Water tour setlists.

If you do a search for the song at the set list archive at www.cobo.org it lists Prince of Tides as having been played at five different shows. Most recently was in 2003.

Floridays (wish he'd do it more!)
Miami Nov 1986

No Woman No Cry

No Woman No Cry is my favorite Marley song 8)

Floridays is one of my overall favorite Buffett songs, but it doesn't seem to be one of his "popular" ones :-?

"Beach House on the Moon" - 2000 East Hampton solo acoustic show was cool - Played tribute to all 3 of his kids. Also played "Gentleman of Leisure," and "Death of an Unpopular Poet." The following year he played John Hiatt's "Blue Telescope, " Steve Goodman's "Where's the Party," and ended that show with the Beatles "In My Life."

I was gonna say Delaney Talks to Statues,
I'm not shure why he never plays it, maybe too personal?
as you can tell it was the inspiration for my Daughters name, Great song!

I remember the night she was born, the wife and I could not come up with a name we could both agree on, so after several hours I finally said "Baby whatever name you decide for your daughter, you can have it. I'm gonna call her Delaney"

she loves that she has her own song! and when Jimmy forgets the lyrics to it at the Hamptons show she really gets a kick out of that!

also at East Hampton , he did " Rocky Raccoon " . .

lots of words in that song to pull out of the old memory bank on the spur of the moment . .

I just saw Neil Diamond do that this morning in Rockefeller Plaza. He was the first guest on the Today Show's Friday concert series for 2005.
