Springtime in Mansfield? Who else feels lost because this is usually the summer grand finale? Yes, I've been to the shows since 1991 so I've seen the show at different times of year but I really locked into the Labor Day Weekend show at GW. It almost seems like how it would feel if you used up all of your work vacation time for the year by July 4!
"Reading departure signs in some big airport
Reminds me of the places I've been.
Visions of good times that brought
so much pleasure
makes me want to go back again."

Be happy that at least he came and played there at all. He skipped the Pacific Northwest last year and it is starting to look like we will be passed by once again.
There are a lot of folks on this site that would just be happy to get a Buffett show in their area no matter what time of the year it happens to be

Heck...I'd go in the middle of January --- to an outside venue --- if he'd just play TEXAS again!!hawaiiboy wrote:Be happy that at least he came and played there at all. He skipped the Pacific Northwest last year and it is starting to look like we will be passed by once again.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I'll take him whenever I can get him! But the shows were a great kick off to what is looking to be a great summer for me! It was a great way to celebrate college graduation for me. So I'm just happy he's still touring and I'm all for seeing him whenever I can. Labor Day weekend would be nice to have back though, but I'm not going to complain.

Well Columbia, SC went a long time without . Now we've had a show for the last 2 years
Atlanta, GA has always had a show . Now this year is looking like a no-go .
Nothing is for sure. Count your lucky stars if you have a show near you, and go to it. You never know, it may be the last.

it's the whole, "entitlement" thing.ToplessRideFL wrote:Why do people whine about things you cannot change?
He comes to your city and you whine about WHEN the concert is??? I am baffled.
Remember, Bawstuhn wasn't always Labour Day Weekend. I believe the lyric WAS, "Headin' up, to San Fran-cisss-co, for the Labour Day Weekend Show..."

yeah it is cool to see him on labor day it was nice just that he is still touring the man is almost 60, if you want to see the summer finale you're going to have to come to chicago this year with meJohnny's Lounge wrote:Springtime in Mansfield? Both shows at Greatwoods in June
Seattle and Vegas in October
Girlfriend doesn't realize that shes going to be a parrothead by the end of this summer whether she likes it or not.

A lot of people do use up their time by then.

Yeah, I can't really symphathize
...since it looks like no Lakewood at all this year. You all got 2 shows, in summer, and probably always will (as long as JB tours that is). While the rest of us have to hold our breath and hope.

For some reason he skipped Atlanta for the summer.
I hear it was something to do with fallout from the BN New Year's party.
