The labels really do work kinda like decals... peel and stick to decorate. :P
I peeled off some labels and stuck them on coffee mugs. They work nicely and look good. I also stuck one on my pencil holder cup... :)

Landshark is everywhere in FL. I've seen it everywhere we've been, and last night in the campground noticed many people walking around with the distinctive bottle.
And, that's despite the cold and windy weather here in Key West.
Jimmy must have done his market research.

Looks like I'll be in Tampa Monday-Wednesday this week, so I'll have my first chance to give it a try. Plus I'll be able to add a bottle to the beer bottle collection in my basement bar room.   Question: Does anyone know if Hooters serves Landshark Lager? My Temple Terrace hotel is right near a Hooters.

does AB actually know just how many folks are waiting to buy this beer in their local corner store?

They are missing the boat on this lack of distribution although i do understand it is about sustainablitiy of sales.

Irish children are too tough for my taste, unless you wash them down with a good lager.

It's kind of like the movie "Hoot" or a regular Buffett CD. There's a very hard core niche market that buy anything related to Buffett...but honestly, that's not enough to build and sustain a national brand on its own (and A-B's strategic focus is well-segmented national brands).

That's why they need to first start where there's the strongest natural market (FL and M'villes), do some other test markets (sounds like TN might be one) and market it more broadly as a lifestyle vs. Buffett-only product in order to gain a broader market base. Initial trial is key, but re-purchase is critical. If things go well in FL and the test markets I have no doubt we'll see it launched more broadly across the US (the labels already have the appropriate state refunds noted on them).

My bet is we'll see a broader launch about the time JB hits the road this summer...since the tour is sponsored by Landshark and they've said it will be available at the venues. That timing would give A-B a good local promotional "splash."

Bottom line, parrotheads alone can't create and support an A-B national brand. They're going after Corona's jugular (which I still think is wierd since they own nearly half of that); they're aiming to build a national brand around tropical escapism...and JB gives them a good starting point.

Yep, I've still got a six-pack in the fridge. The Florida line is about an hour and fifteen minutes away, so I may have to head back down the road! 8)
