Jimmy Buffett on South Park

Post by ParrotHeadFargo »

For all the old Buffett fans in he world you might have not noticed our Firend JB on South Park this week ( orig. aired on 3/12/08). I am sure you will be able to catch a rerun this weekend, as it is a must see for any JB or South Park fan.

QUick update:
Cartman Gets AIDS and JB comes to sing at the benifet. He sings a song called "AIDSburger in Paridise" as well as "Curedburger in Paradise" at the end of the show.

I laughed my a$$ off with the fact that JB has made a cultural impression on many more generations that his typical fans.

As a 20's something fan with 13 shows under my belt, this was a cross-road in a cultural generation.

also, I would love to see Jimmy Buffett and Jack Johnson play tougher sometime. Jack will be my new JB once he decides to not tour any longer. GOD forbid that every happening.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=992cgm_xFe8
check out his youtube of Jimmy and Jack playing a Jack tune The Horizon Has Been Defeated (poir video but the audio is very clear) You can see Jimmy, Jack and what looks to be Mac in the Jumno screen

Cheers from Fargo! and See you at Alpine!

Might was well knock yourself out with some Valium if you listen to Jack Johnson. It's musical sleep.

Sorry for my grammer, my caltholic school education failed me.

Wow, closed minded opinions and negative additudes.

I am a fan of JJ but JB is alway my #1. Open your mind and look past the fact that you do not like his music.

Thanks for pushing away ppl from posting, your 100.000 posts does not make you a bigger fan than anyone else. It shows more to the fact that you have alot to learn about life.

you spelled grammar wrong ... dont knock on Catholic schools I learned more than most public school students...

but I"d like to see Jack Johnson, but not with Jimmy, keep Jimmy by himself, i dont need JJ songs taking away from Buffett songs.

i dont understand the combined post either, i guess i'll have to get a life one of these days, but I'm happy living as a parrothead

I don't think anyone is pushing people away from posting here. I would say it has more to do with the fact that although the post is about JB and JJ you go on this massive tangent about South Park. Not really a contiguous line of thought, so rather than spend time trying to figure it out people are jumping to threads which make more sense.

The only negative attitude I saw in this thread was this one:

Jack Johnson is a great writer, and I think the chances of JB and he playing together is great...maybe not in 2008.

But it's definitely going to happen. Jack Johnson to me is Jimmy Buffett with more hair.
