Fruitcakes on the radio on Radio Margaritaville.
A couple of weeks ago I heard an advertisement on RM that they were going to start a new segment called Fruitcakes on the radio. I went to the RM page and put my name in not really thinking that anything would come of it. A couple days later I received an E-mail from Kirsten asking me to send in my 4 favorite JB songs which was not an easy task, but I did it. I recorded my segment yesterday morning, and I had a lot of fun introducing the songs and telling a few of my parrothead stories. The kick off weekend is supposed to happen the weekend of April 9-11. Once I know the exact airing time of my segment I will post it.

Here we are, maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do
It's the child in us we really value
Here we are, with our fins up and our feathers flashing
Here we are, with our coconut shell brassieres chanting

Re: Fruitcakes on the radio on Radio Margaritaville.
What is going to be cool is to hear the various fruitcake segments and hear the different songs that people have picked as their four favorite JB songs. It really says something for an artist when they have such a boddy of work and everyone's top four list is different. I had a lot of fun recording my segment, but I can tell you that picking four songs was not an easy task as my favorites change on a regular basis.
