Anybody hear Buffett discussion on Howard Stern?

Post by APLATillman »

They had a guy at the Camden show asking tailgaters about their feelings on blacks, gay marriage and such. Gives parrotheads a bad name. Audio from the Stern show is on youtube...it is titled "Howard Stern - Jimmy Buffett Fans are Racist Homophobic Druggies"

WARNING...audio is nsfw!

Consider the source.......Stern is an embarrassment to himself!

Simply a fool, unfortunately thanks to SiriusXM a rich fool, but a fool none the less....
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"

If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

the power of editing, I guess. I never considered myself a conservative blue collar person and most of the people I hang out with concerts I wouldn't consider to be in that category, either. I didn't give the clip more than 2 minutes before I couldn't listen anymore. But then again, if asked to sing my most favorite Buffett song, it sure wouldn't have been "Cheeseburger" either... 8)
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

I didn't even open the link, I knew it would p*ss me off. I can name on one hand the people I've met through this that I would consider conservative blue collar types. Not that there's anything WRONG with that but it just doesn't seem to be the PH profile I'd think of.

Ditto. He's made a career out of p*** people off and finding the most derogatory and inflammatory remarks to make about any sect of people. He's a devise person and he'd be thrilled to know he had angered anybody with this bit.

I used to like Howard's TV show on E but that was loooong ago. I do admit to listening to Bubba The Love Sponge at work though.

True parrotheads (there's that term again) are really open minded, at least most all that I've met.
Hell, just look up the make-up of the Coral Reefers or the whole island vibe of the music and lifestyle, It's multicultural.
Most all these people were just bandwagoners wanting to get fitshaced. Don't get me wrong, I have been known to get plastered too but I'm not there for just that (it's just a side effect )
That one dude that tried to sing Cheeseburger in Paradise couldn't even get it right.
They say your true feelings come out when you're drunk. I guess because the filter between your brain and mouth is turned off.

These are the same type of college drop-outs (or grads) that have slowly wrecked the Irvine tailgate, and
now gotten it turned it into a police state parking lot. They're not Buffett fans, they're just the local traveling drunks.

Also, you know Stern is just cherry-picking audio of the most drunk, most inflammatory red-necked idiots he could find to respond.
Where's the fun (for the Stern crowd) in listening to anyone else who's any part of reasonable and friendly?
