Shuttle Launch, Jimmy Buffett and a Keg Party in the VAB!

Wow - what a day! As you have read Jimmy showed up and played a four song set for the KSC Shuttle team right in front of the VAB!!! Played Changes, Margaritaville, Somewhere Over China (Acoustic) and Brown Eye Girl with the band...I have lots of pics of the launch, JB and the party I will upload later. It was a nice way to go out...Heard he played an astronauut show at the KSC beach house the nite before but trying to confirm this....It's been quite a ride but still sad to see it end!!

I was there and heard JB...unfortunately didn't get to see him, but still was pretty cool. I was at a tent on the far side of the press site when I heard that JB was there...raced over to the VAB and was able to hear him. Asked security if I could enter, was told I couldn't walk thru the VAB but was welcome to walk around...however, it's a big building, and by the time I got around he was off stage already...but was still pretty awesome to hear. Heard him doing Somewhere Over China...how appropriate.

It would have to be "Desdemona's Tearing Down The Rocket Ship and Sending It To The Smithsonian". It would be very cool to be able to actually see the shuttle, especially the interior...

Tell me about it! Deceivingly long, especially in the humidity. I'm not used to it. But it was worth it.
