We were talking in the cafe about school logos.
And colors?
What did you have?
I'll start:
I started HS in Arizona and was a Sanders Pirate.
They have changed their logo, but it used to look kinda like
PIRATES in Northern AZ???
Really???? Blue and Gold
Then I was a Pampa Harvester Green and Gold Yup, that's a wheat farmer
and finally a Texas Tech Red Raider! or Red and Black
Scarlet, are you still in West Milford? I live in Central Valley, by "the Commons". I'm in West Milford frequently visiting friends who live on Pinecliff Lake. I got to ride on the Pirate Ship a few weeks ago!

No I haven't lived there since I was in my 20's (and I'm almost 60 now) in fact I haven't been back since the early 80's. It was a great place to grow up. I worked at Pinecliff Pharmacy in HS and college (which I'm sure has been swallowed up by a chain by now) it was in the shopping center in the middle of town - used to have a Shop-Rite there too.
GW - 7/19 Great Northern MOTM - 7/20-21 Hershey Labor Day Weekend Show - 8/29 MOTM - Oct 28
The mascot was a guy in a labcoat with a dilbert looking head called "egghead"
Colors were Blue and Gold.
Hmmm, I would have thought the home of Dow Chemical would have a 2 headed fish or something as it's mascot. (Sorry, not trying to offend I just am remembering an old Robin Williams skit about Dow Chemical)

The one I remember best was what Mad Magazine wrote after receiving a letter from one of our attorneys about misuse of one of our trademaeks. I think it was STYROFOAM brand plastic foam. They prolly said "styrofoam cup" which always got their panties in a bunch since STYROFOAM is actually the blue insulation or the white balls in the craft department.
I worked in the construction materials department for a lot of years. Defending that trademark was someone's full time job for a while.
Haven't run into any two headed fish yet....and I've lived here all my life. In fact my folks (who also both worked at Dow) are about to move to a senior apartment on the river. I'll have Daddy keep his eye out for odd fish!

Went to a private Mennonite (no, NOT Amish) high school. We didn't have a mascot. In fact, when I attended we barely had an athletic program. Anyway, I digress. The school still doesn't have a mascot.
High School was the Plainville (CT) Blue Devils. For college, NYU had two. I'm willing to bet they added Bobcats because the original, Violets, wasn't intimidating enough.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.
