2013 Songs from St. Somewhere Tour Set List tracker

Post by urlcenter » May 1, 2013 4:11 pm

Once again I am presenting a set list tracker for this years Songs from St. Somewhere Tour. I have done this for the last 2 two tours and thought it would be fun do again this year. However I am going to do things a little differently with this years tracker then I did with last years. This year I am only going to track when Jimmy changes the set list by dropping and adding songs, I won't be tracking movements of songs from one spot to another on the set list an example being Jimmy playing Son of a Son of A Sailor 8th one show and then 7th or maybe 9th on another show.

Also unlike last year when I started the post with the first set list and then added the changes below that list for every show I am going to present the first list and post the change with in that one list. I am going to print the first list in black and then assign each subsequent show a different color so the set list changes will be highly visible.

Here is the set list color code:

Black = Nashville and most other shows
Blue = Atlanta
Red = Austin
Green = Frisco TX

Note: The Mansfield MA show did not feature any songs other then those already played on the 2013 tour. Bartender's Blues and Oldest Surfer on the Beach were not performed at this show

Note: Only Too Drunk to Karaoke from the forthcoming album Songs from St. Somewhere was performed at the 6/25 Camden NJ show. Bartender's Blues was also not played at the Camden NJ Show. Lovely Cruise was performed for the 1st time on this tour as the final encore for the Camden show

Note: Too Drunk to Karaoke and I Want To Go Back To Cartegena from the forthcoming album Songs from St. Somewhere were performed at the 6/29 Chicago show. This was the 1st live performance for I Want To Go Back To Cartegena and the performance featured guest performers Fanny Lú with Emilio Estefan on percussion. A total of only 24 songs were performed at this show and there was no 3 song encore set to close the show. The final song was a Spanish Language version of Margaritaville featuring guest performer Fanny Lu. This was the shortest tour show so far this tour

Note: Stars on the Water, Piece of Work and Brown Eyed Girl were performed for the 1st time on this tour at the 7/13 Virginia Beach Show. Note: Morris's Nightmare and Ringling Ringling were not performed in Bristow. The songs In The City and Nautical Wheelers were performed for the first time on the 2013 tour in Bristow. Nautical Wheelers was performed in response to a petition effort conducted right her on BuffettNews!!!!

Tiki Bar is Open was played for the first time in a full Buffett concert since 2009

Note: The 10/22/13 Denver Colorado show featured some interesting and in one case shocking set list changes. Gypsies in the Palace, Woman Going Crazy on Caroline Street were performed for the first time on this tour. Jimmy closed the show with the song A Mile High Denver from the album Down to Earth!! There is no information as to when the last time was Jimmy played the song A Mile High in Denver live

Thanks for tracking the setlist again. It is really well organized.

(Could it be that the Texas shows were a little shorter due to Jackson Browne opening also? It really did take quite a bit of time to change out the stage and the two shows in Texas started a bit later than usual.)

Jackson Brown may have been part of the reason but the cold temps and back to back nights for Jimmy might have been a factor as well

What songs has Browne been playing? Was it worth going in early?

I didn't mind going in early at all. I would rather have had the full Buffett show and fewer Jackson Browne songs. The last songs I was more familiar with were ok!

I did not enjoy the length of Jackson Browne set list. Just wasn't into it.

He did Too Drunk To Karaoke at Camden. It's such a bad song, in my opinion, I can understand trying to wish it out of the setlist. :lol:

Good to see he seems to have retired Brown-Eyed Girl for this tour. Now if he'll just do the same with Southern Cross, Volcano, Come Monday, and Cheeseburger. Yeah, yeah, I know it'll never happen but those of us looking to see some deeper tracks from Mr. Buffett and not the same ol' show every year can dream.

Thanks, I hope he returns Morris's nightmare, Ringling Ringling and Jamaica Mistaka to the set list. I wonder why they were left out of Virginia Beach?
