Radio mville is doing a this ones for me weekend. Taking requests that fans want to hear jimmy play on the tour. I hope jimmy takes that into account.

I was hoping for two songs never played live ever - cliches and brand new country star

Looking back to Saturday he really only played 3 "covers" though he didn't write others, he still has recorded many of them... The only ones he hasn't is summertime blues, little Martha, and free. It is frustrating because he has so MANY awesome songs. I mean he is one of the best American song writers of all time. The big 10 make the tourists first timers and non Buffett fans happy - those 16-18 songs should be for his phans. Also, I was looking forward to actually hearing captain Jim's drunken dream. I have no problem with relevant covers but I agree, play Jimmy music

Huh, that's interesting. RM is taking requests for the tour? Didn't know that.

That is true. However, it is meant to serve as a metaphor for what I see Jimmy doing to country music. So, in that regard, Mac's just acting as his yes-man.
Perhaps the reason that JB is hitting him with a guitar is that AJ tried to cover Nautical Wheelers.

Well that's just dumb, if we want to hear them then Jimmy should be playing them. We can all download them ourselves if it comes to that.

Jimmy once waked by me at the Chicken Box out on Nantucket. I yelled out "Hey, Jimmy . . . you the man!" The point being, I have an in. I have spoken to the man. I daresay that if security didn't move him away so quickly he was about to invite me back to his yacht to formulate the set list for that year's tour (I think it was 1999). I'm on this. Fear not Parrot Heads . . . we can fix this broken sh*t heap of a set list this year before it ruins our summaaaahs.

I'll see your 3 covers and raise you 6 more:
1. Brown Eyed Girl - this is a Van Morrison song;
2. Five O'clock Somewhere - this is an Alan Jackson song that Buffett sang backup on, he's never recorded it on one of his own albums so I consider it a cover;
3. Soulfully - this is a Will Kimbrough song, it's on his Sideshow Love album;
4. Southern Cross - this is a Crosby, Stills & Nash song that Buffett has never recorded on a studio album;
5. Knee Deep - this is a Zac Brown song that Buffett sang backup on, he's never recorded it on one of his own albums so I consider it a cover;
6. Scarlet Begonias - this is a Grateful Dead song.

Sure, Buffett has recorded Brown Eyed Girl, Soulfully and Scarlet Begonias. But the artists who wrote those songs also recorded them so in my mind they're all covers
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Summertime Blues was just awful. That said, I still think both "Tripping Billies" and "Glory Days" were even worse. For the record, I still miss "Hot, Hot, Hot". It just seemed to get everybody fired up because you just knew the main event was about to begin. Maybe Buster asked him to stop . .

Jimmy doesn't even do a good version of "Knee Deep". They rush it so much I feel like I need to run instead of dance. Never thought I'd say it but the wind may be out of my sails soon for attending any more live concerts. It really seems perfunctory at this point.
It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.

1. I too miss Hot Hot Hot. I wouldn't mind bringing back Tequila.
2. Another song they rush through is Jolly Mon. Love that song. But I can't keep up with it in concert.
3. I too am wondering how many more shows I want to go to. Had a lousy time at the West Palm Beach show. Can't go out like that. Need to go out on a high note.
4. Go, Heat!

Yeah we pretty much scripted Jimmy's entire 2014 tour leading up to hershey. After Saturdays show we realized he needed some creative help. :). Hershey is now going to be Epic!
