He as performed the version of In The Shelter that was released on the album Changes in Latitudes Changes in Attitudes in 1977, however he has not performed the original version of the song released on High Cumberland Jubilee. There is also a third version of the song with a more upbeat Reggae tempo that was released on Meet Me in Margaritaville Jimmy has performed the third version live a on few occasions

In the Shelter is one of only two songs that have three studio versions released by Jimmy. The other song is Captain and the Kid which was first released on Down to Earth in 1970, the second version was released on Havana DayDreamin in 1976 and the the third was released on Meet Me in Margaritaville 2003

When the Bristow, VA song was postponed in 2011 due to Hurricane Irene, I always thought it was a missed opportunity that he didn't play Goodnight Irene at the rescheduled show a couple of days after the storm moved on.

Other than what's previously been mentioned, I am impressed!
What if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

It is a freaking shame that Happily Ever After (Every Now and Then) has never been played live.
That is one of my favorites of all time and would die to see him play it. I think it's a beautiful song.
I'm also a big fan of I Wave Bye Bye.
Jimmy, you heartbreaker!

I am also waiting to see him play Barometer Soup and Love and Luck live. He has never done it at any of the shows I attended. I feel like Love and Luck is one of those songs he should play at every single show... it's so upbeat and a great dance tune like One Particular Harbor.

The songs not played live list has been updated as a result of Jimmy performing the song "My Lovely Lady" on November 5, 2015 at the annual Meeting of the Minds event in Key West Florida.

The songs not played live list has been updated as a result of Jimmy performing the song "Wings" in tribute to Merle Haggard at the 04/16/16 Virginia Beach, VA show.

Also the song Mr. Spaceman is no longer on the Songs not played Live list as Jimmy performed it at the Buffett Bridge Dedication in Pascagoula MS on September 19, 1995

Didn't he play Mr. Spaceman live at the Bridge dedication? Could have swore I saw a Youtube video of that.

You are correct according to the posted Set list for the Bridge Dedication performance that Mr. Spaceman was in fact played.

To be honest I forgot about that performance taking place

I would love to hear False Echoes. It reminds me of my dad, who was a sailor, joined the Navy at 17, caught the end of WWII. Lord, that song just touches my heart. Also, Remittance Man and Steamer. As you may guess, i just love it when Bubba croons. [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif]

I wonder if we will be able to cross "I Don't Know and I Don't Care" off this list based on the name of the upcoming tour?

Serpentine was played at the acoustic Jazz Fest show a few years ago with Mac. Before SFSS even came out.

Would love to hear him play Cliches, Brand New Country Star, and Something So Femenine....IMO - these are all hidden gems. Would also like to hear the rocket that grandpa rode - think it would be a cool song live.

:pirate:

BTW - The Margaritville "Mancave" should be completed in a few weeks. Looking forward to posting some pics and sharing!

I'm pretty sure that Pre-You was played at a show I attended on the Hot Water tour. Probably one of the few albums that he's played all the songs live at one time or another.

False Echoes - I believe I've heard him say in an interview that he would never play it simply because he doesn't think he can get through it emotionally.

I'd personally like to hear Rancho Deluxe, and a cover of Captain Jim's Drunken Dream.
Now I've got a terminal daydream,
That's something you'll never know
I keep it right here in my backpack, mon
And I take it wherever I go.
