Post by urlcenter »

Jimmy is including some rare songs on his 2016 tour and letting his fans help select them with a "rare song" voting page at Margaritaville.com

Here are the rules:

SURPRISE JIMMY WITH SONGS YOU HAVEN'T HEARD IN A WHILE!
Do you have a favorite Jimmy Buffett song that you haven't heard him perform live in years? Now is your chance to tell him! We've compiled a list of songs that Jimmy has not played in over 10 years. Simply select your favorite 5, and we will randomly choose one of the top-voted songs for Jimmy to play each night on tour!

Apparently they drew the list up from songs that Jimmy has played in a show at one time or another.  There is no other explanation for the absence of "Love in the Library" from the 1994 "Fruitcakes" album — which has NEVER EVER been performed live in concert, at least according to the Song Database above.

I suggest that we organize a write-in campaign to get this song played!!!

I looked it up in the song database and I've heard him do Love & Luck once. It was the first time I traveled out of NY for a Buffett concert, in Las Vegas, on my birthday. The previous year he played it at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island 2/24 and the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey 2/26. I saw him in Madison Square Garden on 2/22 and he didn't play it at that show.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
