Just noticed on my PBS schedule that there is a 60 minute show about this album. It plays here on Saturday evening.
Here is the description:
The story of Jimmy Buffett's early years via his earliest demo recordings. Included: montage music videos of the songs, featuring archival photos and video; remarks from people who recognized his talent; and in-concert performances of some of his hits.
Length: 60 Minutes
Has anyone seen this yet?? Of course I'll watch it and record it!

Re: JB Buried Treasure - PBS Show
It was on my PBS station about 2 weeks ago, I was kind of disappointed. There were 3 or 4 videos from what I think was a Las Vegas show because one of the deals they were offering if you become a sustaining member of PBS ($25/month) included the "Live In Fin City" DVD. They had some interviews with people who knew Buffett when he was starting out back in the Mobile days (Buzz Cason, Travis Turk and a 3rd guy whose name I don't remember) and some short clips of Buffett sitting on a pier somewhere talking about the old days. They only played 2 songs from the Buried Treasure CD.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Some good stuff but you relay had to wade thru PBS's fundraising. More fundraising then Jimmy. Recommend DVRing it so you can skip to the good stuff.

DVR'd it as recommended to fast forward through the fundraising. I thought it was an interesting show - since I like Buried Treasure. It was nice to hear the other peoples stories instead of Jimmy doing all the background.
