so our 3 crybaby criminals that "couldn't make it to court on Thursday" all showed up. Nothing like a little "show up or a bench warrant for your arrest will be issued" to magically fix a car, provide $$ for a taxi, or find a friend to drive you

I took my car to the dealer for an oil change today.... I walked in and put my keys on the counter and said I had a 1:00 appointment. "For today?" the new guy asked. Duh, no not until next Monday but I'll just sit in your waiting room until then.
Then he asked "to drop off or pick-up"? An appointment to pick up? And I just gave you my keys..... how would I be picking up?

I know.... I'm just old and crotchety.

Note to self: Although you really want to help, and you wrote instructions that you left by the TV, it's pretty impossible to walk your mother how to turn on the TV so she can watch the Rockies. She has a universal remote, but turns the TV off with the wrong remote. She tried, but didn't understand she didn't have to hold BOTH remotes and the phone at the same time. Sigh.

When I was at the Beer Den, I had a sample of a beer called Fruit-Full Fort from Dogfish Head. It was 18% ABV. I could never drink a full glass, I'd be fit shaced before I finished it. The French beer, Jenlain Ambrée from Brasserie Duyck, was pretty good.

The guy at the Beer Den told me somebody bought a pint the other day then left to go do his shopping. About 1/2 hour later he came back, he had finished his shopping and the cup was still more than half full. He left it on the bar and said he couldn't finish it.
