Good morning. The Pelicans lost again and their bad luck continues. A guy on the other team was trying to go from first to third on a single. The throw from the outfield took a bad hop, hit the third baseman in the face and he had to come out of the game.

April isn't over yet so it's still North Carolina Beer Month. I think I'll take a ride across the state line and visit another brewery.

We are STOKED for Holmdel -- last night's set list was amazing -- if he keeps it we may get 3 songs we've not yet heard at a show.

Afternoon BN.

Weather guessers were wrong. They said today would be nice but it's cloudy with a few sprinkles here & there at the beach. But, I'm at the beach so I'm happy 8)

Afternoon BNers

It was been a strange weather day. Woke up to heavy clouds and showers. Suppose to be stormy all day but surprise....we have SUN!!! Still a few darker clouds but it is a nice day.
Wonder if we will get rain later??

April 25th is ANZAC Day here in Australia and New Zealand. A day to remember our service men and women.

It starts as a solemn commemoration and through the day becomes a day to buy a digger a beer.

We've just come home from our local dawn service. It was awful - in that really nice, local village awfulness, no polish, no stage managed perfection, just the local RSL (veterans association) members doing it for their mates and us there to support them.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Lest We Forget.

Another busy, busy day at the flower shop. I clocked in early and clocked out late. We have 2 local colleges and there are lots of end of year ceremonies to do arrangements for, plus 2 proms this coming Saturday, plus today was Administrative Professionals Day (used to be Secretaries Day) and of course EVERY one forgot until that first arrangement got delivered to their office, then the phone exploded! Not to mention, the standard birthday, anniversary and funeral flowers to do. Plus we had 2 huge shipments of flowers and vases come today that needed processed. There is a 16 arrangement dinner tomorrow that needed started today, walk in customers and coolers to prepare so we could put the processed flowers away at the end of the day. My feet are throbbing, but they are elevated and I'm enjoying a margarita. I'm off tomorrow, but need to brush the dogs and clean house, so I can prepare to go to Rochester for the weekend to see my grandbabies! Haven't seen them since Christmas! My youngest daughter is house/dog sitting for us, so I want the house in order. Plus, I hate leaving a dirty house to come home to. Hope your evening is great!

I think it must disturb the dust, because I seem to get a speck of dust in my eyes each time too.

WOW, you had a crazy day!!! :o

Mine was a little nutty. But it started off well. My boss brought me these, a card, and a $75 gift card to Bonefish Grill. I'm told he's never done this before. 8)

I leave work at my usual 3:30. Run to the bank, no problem. Drive to a Verizon store to check on my battery. It's the first time I've ever had one 'go bad' in all the years I've owned a cell phone. This one is two years old. BUT. Who knew that Verizon can't test batteries? Sends me over to Batteries Plus. They have one. $60. An hour and 15 minutes to install. 😮 What the hell do I do? There's a mall close by. I spent 15 minutes there, and got the hell out. It's an old mall that's been remodeled, and it's nice, but the clientele is rather ghetto. That and I hate shopping, and it hurts to walk that much. So I drove around. Phone done on time, stop for a car wash, and I'm finally home by 7:00!!

The Carolina Hurricanes, who hadn't made the playoffs in 10 years, just knocked the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals out in the first round. Double overtime in the 7th game after losing the first 2 games of the series and being down 2-0 after the first period of tonight's game.
