Raining Vacation SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. It's raining in Acadia. There will be much coffee consumed before noon.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill. No rain here, it's already 84 degrees and the forecast is for a high of 95 with a heat index around 100.
Coastal Carolina had to win 2 games yesterday to make it to the championship game of their conference baseball tournament. They won the first game 26-10 yesterday afternoon, they scored 9 runs in the 8th inning and 7 more in the 9th. Then they played another game last night and won 10-6. I was considering going to the game but with the weather forecast for this afternoon I don't think I want to sit in the kind of heat for 3 hours. I don't need sunstroke.

Today was supposed to be raining on this coast but right now we’ve got our usual May Gray.

We have had rain this morning too. I made the chocolate whipped cream and filled the cream puffs, then dipped them in ganache. The mini lemon raspberry cheesecakes are also chilling. This is our contribution to the family get together this afternoon.
Rainy or not, any day is a great day to be in Bar Harbor, Bill!

Morning, BN. Another gorgeous day. Just hoping the upcoming weekend (including Thursday) is decent. As in very little to no rain. And on the warm side.
Going to try to get some laundry done after the F-18 flyover. Have a safe Sunday.

They had to cut my platelet donation short. I was about an hour in and the blood flow out of my arm into the machine slowed down so much the monitor started beeping every few seconds. The bag wasn't full but at least they got some usuable product. Now I'm relaxing in air conditioned comfort, it's 90 degrees out there and the heat index is 99. If CCU wins their conference baseball tournament this afternoon, they'll have to do it without me in attendance.

Good late morning! It's a cool 64 degrees here. Started with some fog, too.
Made breakfast (eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast), and working on laundry.
But all TV's are on the Indy 500. Definitely a tradition for both of us. Zoom Zoom!!

Hot day here mid 90's again. Watching the Indy 500, tradition here also, only missed a couple since 1960. Lots of racing today.

I'm not a racing fan at all, I don't get the appeal of watching people drive (even if they're driving really fast), but I just turned the Indy 500 on to watch the last few laps.

Evening, lurkers.
Went to a really lovely family wedding yesterday. The vows were all original and quite beautiful and genuine. Great weather, pretty venue - small lakeside venue in NJ with both indoor and outdoor space. Now we are pit-stopped at my sister's, breaking up the ride back to Maine.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Hi there! I had kitsch and home fries at breakfast, lobster, mussels, fries with rolls for lunch and choked down slices of thin crust pizza with my bar drinks.
I keep Pepto in my bag for such poor decisions.

Pepto laughs at my belly issues. But I don't consider them poor decisions if you're on vacation.

Re: Raining Vacation SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good evening all. Was a nice day, eventually, here. Warmed up to 75, and was able to keep windows open. Kicked on the AC when there was no breeze, tho. E cooked a yummy brisket and Cameron and I got the sides together.
Hope to get to Ft. Logan tomorrow to visit my Dad, and Cameron's other grandparents. Gotta bring our pennies to let them know we visited.
Chores done for the weekend, and it'll be nice to enjoy and actual day off tomorrow.
