Final May Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. It's been a wet month and the yard needs mowed. Today is too nice to mow, I'm fishing. Enjoy your day, pholks.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Final May Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Morning, BN. A good time was had by all last night. It rained hard for only a quarter of Bob Seger's set. The other qurter was light rain. T-storms were forecasted. All on the cool side. It's been years sinceI've been to JB. Will be back n August for Santana/Doobie Brothers.
Now it's time for some last minute shopping. And for a diner breakfast. Have a good one.

Good morning. There's a 20% chance of rain today. If we get the 80% chance of no rain instead, this will be 19 days in a row with no rain.
Happy Birthday E!!!
The Carolina Country Music Festival is next weekend. One of the local radio stations is an official sponsor and they've been giving away 3 day wristbands for the last few weeks. Usually they do call in giveaways, the 10th (or whatever other number they pick) caller wins a pair of wristbands. Sometimes one of the DJs will do a live remote, they hang out somewhere for a couple of hours and draw somebody's name out of a hat. The remotes are usually at car dealers or shopping malls, they were even in the parking lot at my condo a couple of weeks ago. Today, one of the DJs is going to be at a titty bar for 2 hours.

Good afternoon BN'ers.....Going this evening to see Comedian & Impersonator Frank Caliendo. Saw him roughly 15 years ago & busted a gasket.
Dude is flat out hilarious & entertaining. I go nuts over very good impersonators, & he's top notch in my book. Looking forward to getting my funny bone tickled.

Took a look at your CCM Fest. I like me some Randy Houser. I'd be for catching him & some Brothers Osborne.LIPH wrote: ↑May 31, 2019 10:38 am Good morning. There's a 20% chance of rain today. If we get the 80% chance of no rain instead, this will be 19 days in a row with no rain.

Re: Final May Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
I've never seen Randy Houser. Brothers Osborne were at the House of Blues a couple of years ago, they were really good. There's a band called Midland that's going to be at CCMF. I saw them last year, I wouldn't mind seeing them again. There just aren't enough acts I'd want to see this year to get me to spend $189 for a 3 day pass. They started selling single day passes about 2 weeks ago, they're $129. Again, not worth it in my opinion.

Not the best news but not unexpected.
I have macular degeneration. Wet in one eye and dry in the other. Well, until now. I had an eye dr appt and the dry eye is now wet.
I have been through this for 10 years so I know what to expect....a shot in my newly wet eye every month until hopefully it is reversed....hoping it will reverse.

Re: Final May Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Thank you for all the birthday wishes for E. It was a good day for him.
They fussed over him at work. Donuts to start. It was learned this week that two of his younger co-workers have never had brats, so on gal cooked a bunch last night, put them in a crock pot with peppers/onions (she's from Wisconsin!). Others brought sides, drinks, and desserty things, like cookies. He said everything was great.
He texted me and asked if I'd ever heard of Eileen's cookies. Uhhhh, yes..
Then we went to the brewery after work, as is our tradition. They had a food truck we'd not tried before, but it was good.
One of my surprises was this giant cookie, plus a few normal sized ones for the brewcrew, cause we just do that since they're are 'beer family'. Guess where they were from? Same place as one of his big bosses brought today. UGH, and LOL!!!! Neither of us had heard of them before, and I picked them at random, cause they deliver. And they delivered on time.
But these were both cookies. VERY good soft cookies (and by the time we left, 3/4 of the 2 dozen cookies were eaten).
And Mike (the tasting room manager, another Cardinal fan) nixed any charges for our beers.
I got Ron a special glass designed for tasting bourbon (etched with a Mark Twain saying), and a silly coffee cup that says, "Probably Bourbon" on it. Cameron got him a really good bottle of bourbon. See a pattern? LOL!! He's always liked bourbon, but is actually studying about it, and taking some classes through our local liquor store.
Pictures of cookies. They were soft, and not dry. Good choice!
And all good thoughts for your eyes and you, Molly!!!!!
